VITMEE 2018: Vellore Institute of Technology – VIT Vellore has invited applications for admission to Master of Technology (M.Tech), Master of Computer Application (MCA), Master of Science (M.Sc), Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) programs offered in various specializations for 2018 sessions.

VITMEE 2018 Eligibility Criteria

For M.Tech Program: Those interested in applying should have the B.E/B.Tech degree in any branch / M.S / M.Sc / MCA or any other equivalent degree. The applicants should have a minimum of 60 percent or equivalent in their respective undergraduate degrees.

For MCA Program: Those interested in applying should have a recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration in BCA, B.Sc (IT/Computer Science) with mathematics as a course at Class 12 level or at graduation level. They should have obtained at least 60 percent in the qualifying examination.

For M.Sc Program: Those interested in applying should have a degree in Biological Sciences for M.Sc. programs in Biotechnology/Applied Microbiology/ Biomedical genetics. The applicants interested in applying for this program must have appeared in JEE (Main) 2018 or AIPMT 2018.

For M.Phil Program:  The minimum period of study and research from the date of registration for the M.Phil Program to the date of submission of the thesis will be 18 months for full-time research scholars and two academic years for part-time research scholars.

Master’s degree in the relevant discipline of Science with a first class (or a minimum of 60% marks/CGPA 6.5 on a 10 point scale in cases where the University/ Institute does not award any class). For Languages, Master’s degree with a minimum of 55% marks.

For PhD Program:  Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology in the relevant discipline with a first class or a minimum of 60% marks/CGPA 6.5 on a 10 point scale in cases where the University/Institute does not award any class or Equivalent qualifications like M.Sc (Engineering)/ M.S. (By Research)/M.Tech (by Research).

Applicants of MCA/M.Sc (CS) / M.Sc (IT) / MS Software Engineering applicants are advised to register for M.Tech by Research initially. After that, there will be an option to upgrading to PhD.

Selection Procedure

The selection of the applicants will be made on the basis of VITMEE 2018.

Applicants can apply online (www.vit.ac.in).

The application fee is Rs.950/- Only through Online mode (net banking/debit card/ credit card) for M.Tech and MCA programs. For M.Sc Programs, the application fee is Rs.500/-.

Get the login credentials at www.vit.ac.in by using your email address and mobile number.

Log in and fill up the application.

Pay the application fee by online payment using net-banking or any credit/ debit card (DD not accepted).

Cost of Application Rs.950/-.

The selected applicant will be informed to pay the fees.

VITMEE Admit Card 2018

VITMEE Admit cards can be downloaded from www.vit.ac.in.

Admit Card will not be faxed or sent by post or e-mail personally; the applicants must not mutilate the Admit card or alter any entry made therein; Admit card is not transferable to any other person. Impersonation is a legally punishable offence.

Applicants should carefully examine the Admit card once received.

VITMEE Exam Pattern 2018

The computer-based test (CBT) objective question Paper consists of 100 questions with a maximum of 100 marks among which 80 will be from the chosen technical subject and 20 will be from English communication.

NO negative marks for wrong answers.

The applicant is expected to arrive at the exam hall at least 1 hour before the start of exam, with Admit Card (hard copy). If the Applicant does not report on time, they are likely to miss the general instructions given in the Exam Hall.

The applicant will not be permitted to enter into examination hall after 10:15 am / 2: 45 pm.

The applicant will not be permitted to leave the exam hall until 12 noon/ 4.30 pm, even if the exam were completed.

Applicants are requested to keep the Admit Card safely with them and bring it during the Admission Process. Applicant should produce it on demand.

The test will start exactly at the time specified in Admit Card and an announcement will be made by Hall Invigilator to start and stop the exam.

VITMEE Test Centers 2018

The Entrance Exam will be held in the following Cities – Vijayawada, Patna, Chandigarh, Bangalore, Kochi, Bhopal, Indore, Nagpur, Pune, Kolhapur, New Delhi, Jaipur, Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Vellore, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Kolkata.
