UPSC CMS Exam 2016 Notification | Combined Medical Services Exam

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has invited recruitment for filling up the 1009 Posts of Asst Divisional Medical Officer, Jr Scale Posts in Central Health Services, Asst Medical Officer & General Duty Medical Officer Gr-II vacancies.

Name of the Post

The Services/Posts to which the recruitment is to be made and the approximate numbers of vacancies to be filled are as follows:

  1. Assistant Divisional Medical Officer (Railways): 600 Posts.
  2. Assistant Medical Officer (Indian Ordnance Factories Health Services): 46 Posts.
  3. Junior Scale Posts (Central Health Services): 250 Posts.
  4. General Duty Medical Officer Gr-II in East Delhi Municipal Corporation, North Delhi Municipal Corporation and South Delhi Municipal Corporation: 97 Posts.
  5. General Duty Medical Officer in New Delhi Municipal Council: 16 Posts.

Total No. of Posts: 1009 Vacancies.

Eligibility Conditions for UPSC CMS Exam

Nationality: Applicant must be either (a) a citizen of India, or (b) a subject of Nepal, or (c) a subject of Bhutan, or (d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 01st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India; or (e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka or East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or from Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Provided that applicant belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Govt of India.

Age Limit: Applicant for this exam must not have attained the age of 32 years as on 01st January 2016 the applicant must have been born not earlier than 02nd January 1984. (for more detail Click here)

Centres of Exam

The Exam will be held at the following centres: Agartala, Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bareilly, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cuttack, Dehradun, Delhi, Dharwad, Dispur, Gangtok, Hyderabad, Imphal, Itanagar, Jaipur, Jammu, Jorhat, Kochi, Kohima, Kolkata, Lucknow, Madurai, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji (Goa), Patna, Port Blair, Raipur, Ranchi, Sambalpur, Shillong, Shimla, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram, Tirupati, Udaipur and Vishakhapatnam.

UPSC CMS Exam Admit Card

The eligible applicants shall be issued an e-Admission Certificate three weeks before the commencement of the exam

The e-Admission Certificate will be made available in the UPSC website www.upsc.gov.in for downloading by the applicants. No admission certificate will be sent by post
