Phd Admission in Electronics Science 2016 at University of Calcutta

University of Calcutta, Kolkata has invited applications for admission to the PhD Program (Science) in the Department of Electronics Science for the commencing in February 2016.

Number of Seats: 10 (for Maximum No. of PhD students to be admitted).

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants should have M.Tech or M.E in IT/CSE/CS/Electronics or equivalent, M.Sc in Computer and Information Science or equivalent as per the University regulation.

Selection Process

Applicants who have already cleared UGC-CSIR (JRF) NET/GATE/SET teacher fellowship or passed the M.Phil / M.Tech / equivalent examination are exempted from appearing for the written test but have to appear at the interview.

Syllabus: Topics covered in B.Sc (Honours) and M.Sc courses in Electronics Science with good emphasis on Electronics and Physics.

How to Apply?

Applicants willing to pursue the research work leading subsequently to PhD (Science) degree in Electronics Science of the University of Calcutta should apply in the prescribed proforma downloadable from University website

The duly filled in application form along with the receipt of deposition of application fee of Rs.100/- only in cash to be deposited in any cash counter of the University by Challan and the self-certified copy of relevant mark-sheets/certificates, is to be submitted to the office of the Head of the Department of Electronic Science at the above address.

No separate call letter will be issued and no TA/DA is admissible for appearing at the test/interview.
