LLM Admission 2018 at University of Calcutta

University of Calcutta (CU) Kolkata has invited applications for admission to 2 years Master of Laws (LL.M) Programme offered at Department of Law, C.U, Surendranath Law College and Jogesh Chandra Chaudhuri Law College for 2018 session.

LLM Eligibility Criteria 2018

Admission shall be open to applicants who have passed their BA-LLB (Hons.) / BA-LLB / LLB (Hons.) / LLB examination from this university or from other university recognized by the University of Calcutta.

Selection Procedure

Fifty percent (50%) of the total number of seats in the 1st year shall be reserved for B.A.LL.B (Hons.) applicants of this university, for the remaining seats entrance test will be conducted.

Written Test – The written test will be of 100 marks, 60 marks for MCQ, and 40 marks for the subjective test from B.A.-LL.B syllabus of Calcutta University.

Reservation: Reservation of seats for SC/ST/Physically Challenged applicants will be as per university rules.

Applicants can obtain the application form from Calcutta University website

Forms will be also available from Calcutta University Sales Counter, College Street, Kolkata-700073 on payment of Rs.400/- (non-refundable) for General Category applicants and Rs.200/- (non-refundable) for SC/ST/OBC/PWD on and from December 22nd, 2017 to January 19th, 2018.

Prescribed forms duly filled in should be submitted to the Faculty of Law, 51/1, Hazra Road, Kolkata-700019 on or before January 19th, 2018 against which Admit Card will be issued on the same day.
