MBBS Admission 2016 at Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU) Dehradun
Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU), Dehradun has invited applications for admission to MBBS Programme for 2016 sessions at Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences will be done on the basis of mark obtained in the NEET 2016.
Total number of Seats available for MBBS Programme is 150 for the academic session 2016-17.
Permanent Residents of the State of Uttarakhand (40% Seats): a) Through Counselling conducted by the Govt. of Uttarakhand (25 Seats); b) Through SRHU-2016 conducted by Uttarakhand Govt. (35 seats).
All India Categories (60% Seats): a) Through SRHU-2016 conducted by SRHU (90 seats).
Counselling by Swami Rama Himalayan University for 125 seats.
- 40% seats are reserved for applicants, who are permanent residents of the state of Uttarakhand.
- 26% rebate in the tuition fees only shall be given to the applicants, who are admitted.
Age: Only those applicants, who have completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of their admission to the first year of MBBS Programme are eligible to apply; only date of birth recorded in the High School/ICSE or its equivalent certificate will be accepted.
The upper age limit shall be 25 yrs as on 31st December 2016.
Qualification & Minimum Marks: Applicant must have passed the 10+2, i.e. ISC/ intermediate exam, or its equivalent, after a period of 12 years of study from a recognized board (CBSE/ ISC/ State Board etc), the last 2 years of such study, comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology (which shall include practical test in these subjects) and mathematics or any other elective subject with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training after introduction of the 10+2+3 educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on Education.
The applicant must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology and mathematics or any other elective subject with English individually and must have obtained:
(i) A minimum of exact 60% (for SC/ ST/ OBC applicants a minimum of exact 50%) marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology, taken together and
(ii) A minimum of exact 50% (for SC/ ST/ OBC applicants a minimum of exact 40%) marks separately in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Biotechnology in the qualifying exam.
The applicants as per their convenience can choose one of the below mentioned mode of registration.
Offline Mode: Applicant must download the Information Brochure from the University website (www.srhu.edu.in) and read it carefully to understand the registration, counselling process and other requirements.
Applications can download the Registration form from the University website www.srhu.edu.in.
Registration form must be filled with hand in CAPITAL LETTERS by black ink ballpoint pen by the applicant himself.
Applicant must paste his/her recent passport size (3.5 x 4.5 cm) colored photograph with white background indicating clearly name of the applicant.
The Non Refundable Registration Fee of Rs.1000/- will only be accepted in the form of a DD of any Nationalised bank, drawn in favour of “Swami Rama Himalayan University” payable at Rishikesh or Dehradun.
While submitting the Demand Draft (DD) please writes your Roll No. of NEET (UG), Name and Mobile number at the back of the Demand draft (DD).
Registration Fee: Rs.1000/- (Rupees One thousand only).

First Counselling: 03rd to 05th September 2016
Last date for payment of fees for 1st Professional MBBS Program: September 10th 2016
Second Counselling: September 14th 2016 (09.00 AM)
Last date for payment of Fees for 1st Professional MBBS Programme for applicants who have been allotted a seat in the Second counselling: September 17th 2016 (04.30 PM)
Last date of withdrawal: September 29th 2016 (04.30 PM)
