Sikkim Teacher Eligibility Test 2017

Sikkim Human Resource Development HRDD has invited application for Sikkim Teacher Eligibility Test (Sikkim TET 2017) for selection of educated applicants on the vacant posts of Teacher. The appointed applicants will liable to teach Primary (Class I to V) and Elementary (VI to VIII) class.

Eligibility for Sikkim TET 2017

Educational Qualification

For Primary Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Stage): Applicants must possess Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks in aggregate for unreserved applicants and 45% in case of SC/ST/OBC (Central), OBC (State) and passed in final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El. Ed) (or);

Applicants must possess Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks in aggregate for unreserved applicants and 45% in case of SC/ST/OBC (Central), OBC (State) and passed in final year of 4 years Bachelors of Elementary Education (B.Ed.) (or);

Applicants must possess Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks in aggregate and 45% in case of SC/ST/OBC (Central), OBC (State) and passed in final year of 2 years Diploma in Education (Special Education).

For Graduate Teacher for classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage): Applicants must possess BA/B.Sc./with 50% in aggregate marks for unreserved applicants and 45% in case of SC/ST/OBC (Central), OBC (State) and passed in final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El. Ed.) (Or);

BA/B.Sc./with 50 % marks in aggregate for unreserved applicants and 45 % in case of SC/ST/OBC (Central), OBC (State) and passed in final year of 1/2 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.).

A person who intends to appear in both the categories (Primary and Graduate) will have to apply and sit in both the papers separately.

A Diploma/Degree course in teacher education recognised by NCTE only shall be considered. In case of Diploma in Education (Special Education).

Selection Process

These recruitment process two stages to recruit the eligible applicant which is written examination followed by personal Interview cum document verification round.

Application Fee

Applicants who will apply for this STET Recruitment 2017 must have to pay Rs.400/- as an application cum exam fee. Desirable applicants pay this fee by remitting Bank draft drawn in favor of Joint Director/Exam, HRDD in any branch of IDBI Bank in the State to the Account Number: 0108102000006767.

Bank draft from any nationalized bank will be acceptable only, if unavoidable.

Applicants can download their application form from www.sikkimhrdd.org. Fill it with demanded details and send to the office of Room Number 308 of HRDD Secretariat.

Important Dates for Sikkim TET 2017

Application Form will available at Website with effect from December 20th 2016

Starting Date of Receipt of Application Form is January 04th 2017

Closing Date to Submit the Completed Application Form is January 25th 2017

Admit Card will be issued from February 10th 2017 to February 16th 2017

Sikkim TET 2017 will conduct on February 19th 2017
