LBS Centre State Eligibility Test 2017

LBS Centre for Science and Technology Kerala has invited applications for admission to Higher Secondary School Teachers and Non-Vocational Teachers in VHSE. A pass in the State Eligibility Test (SET) for February 2017 Session.

Eligibility for LBS State Eligibility Test 2017

Age Limit: No age limit is prescribed for applicants appearing for the SET.

Educational Qualification: Those who have acquired Master’s Degree in the concerned subject with not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade and B.Ed degree in any discipline from any one of the universities in Kerala or have acquired these qualifications from any other university recognised as equivalent thereto are eligible to apply for the SET-February 2017.

For Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology, those having M.Sc Ed Degree in the concerned subject with not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade from one of the Regional Institutes of Education sponsored by NCERT will be eligible to apply.

For Botany and Zoology, those having M.Sc Ed Degree in Life Science (with not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade) from one of the Regional Institutes of Education are also eligible.

For the subjects Anthropology, Commerce, French, Gandhian Studies, Geology, German, Home Science, Journalism, Latin, Music, Philosophy, Psychology, Russian, Social Work, Sociology, Statistics and Syriac, applicants need not acquire B.Ed Degree for applying for the State Eligibility Test.

Those who have acquired II class Master’s Degree in Communicative English with not less than 50% marks and B.Ed are eligible to appear for SET in English.

Applicants who have acquired Diploma in Hindi Teaching, but do not have B.Ed. Degree, are eligible to apply for SET in accordance with the exemption clause provided in the Special Rules.

Applicants who have acquired their qualification through Correspondence Courses/ Open Universities which, are not recognized by any one of the Universities in Kerala are not eligible to appear for the SET.

Applicants undergoing the final year course of the Postgraduate studies will also be permitted to appear for SET if they already have a B.Ed SET certificates of such applicants will be issued only if they qualify the PG/B.Ed exams in their first chance of the final exam of the course.

The B.Ed applicants shall produce the pass certificates and PG applicants shall produce both the pass certificates and mark lists for proving their eligibility after qualifying the SET-February 2017.

Relaxation of Minimum Marks for SC/ST Applicants: Applicants belonging to SC/ST categories shall be granted a relaxation of 5% marks in the minimum marks prescribed for the eligibility to appear for the State Eligibility Test.

LBS SET 2017 Application Form and Registration

Apply online at website or Applicants intending to register for the State Eligibility Test are required to pay the fee for the Test in advance to obtain the site access key along with the application number for Online Registration.

The fee shall be Rs.750 for General/OBC applicants and Rs.375 for SC/ST/VH/PH applicants.

Test Centres: There will be test centres at all the district head quarters in the state are Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod.

Online Admit Card for Test

The admit card for the SET shall be prepared for all the eligible applicants and will be available in the websites of LBS Centre or from the date which will be announced later in leading dailies and in the official websites of the LBS Centre.

Last date for Receipt of Filled-in-Applications: December 24th 2016 at 05.00 PM

Issue of Online Hall Tickets: February 01st 2017

Date of Exam Test: February 12th 2017 (Sunday)

Publishing of Answer Keys in Website: February 15th 2017
