The University of Mysore has invited applications from the eligible applicants to appear for KSET – Karnataka State Eligibility Test for Lecturer / Assistant Professorship 2017 to be conducted on December 31st, 2017.

Applicants who have secured at least 55% of marks (without rounding off) for General Category & 50% for SC/ST, Persons With Disability (PWD-VH/PH), Category I, IIA, IIB, IIIA & IIIB in master’s degree (or) equivalent exam from universities /institutions recognized by UGC New Delhi, in subjects like Science, Humanities (including languages), Social science, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science etc., are eligible to appear for this test.
Applicants who have appeared (or) will be appearing at the Master’s degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited (or) applicants whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also appear for this Test.
KSET 2017 Exam Centers
The Eleven KSET Centers where the test will be conducted in Karnataka State with their respective codes are given below. The applicant can select any one Test Center for KSET Examination:

Applications should be submitted online and applicants are requested to go through this notification carefully before filling their application
Steps for Submission of Online Application Form:
(i) Applicants seeking admission to KSET 2017 examination must apply online http://kset.uni-mysore.ac.in or through link available with the University of Mysore website www.uni-mysore.ac.in
(ii) Before proceeding to apply applicants must possess a scanned passport size photo in JPEG format (4.5 cm x 3.5 cm) memory should not exceed 300 kb.
(iii) Applicants should register (sign up for registration) giving personal and educational details; applicants while either mentioning their educational qualification they should mention as Passed or appearing as the case may be.
(iv) Applicants are required to download the bank challan proforma prefilled with applicant details, Email ID, Fee & bank Commission. Payments towards KSET Exam fee including bank charges must be deposited to KSET accounts in any of the nearest State Bank of Mysore branch only after two working days from the date of downloading bank challan.
(v) After paying the necessary fee again after two days, applicants have to log in with their registered email ID and password for downloading the application form and can take the printout of the 3 sheets of the application form (hard copy) on A-4 size paper as detailed.
KSET 2017 Exam Fee and Mode of Payment
- General: Rs.1000/-.
- CAT – IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB: Rs.800/-.
- CAT-I, SC/ST/PWD (VH/PH): Rs.500/-.
The late fee of Rs.100/- has to be paid by applicants who submit the online application after the last date till the extended period.
