Jharkhand TET 2016 Notification | JAC TET 2016 Application Form

Jharkhand Academic Council, Ranchi will announced Jharkhand Teachers Eligibility Test (JAC TET) 2016 also known as Jharkhand TET. Jharkhand TET is for the applicants aspiring to become teachers in primary (class I -V) and upper primary (VI-VIII) schools in the state of Jharkhand.

Eligibility Criteria for Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test 2016

Class I-V (Primary Level): Applicants should have passed in Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45 % marks & passed or appearing in final 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education.

Applicants must have passed in Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50 % marks & passed or appearing in final 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).

Applicants must have passed in Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50 % marks & passed or appearing in final 2 – year Diploma in Education in Special Education are also eligible.

Applicants with BA / B.Sc. with at least 50 percent marks and B.Ed qualification can also apply.

Classes VI-VIII (Paper II): Applicants having Graduation Degree and appearing in final 2 year D.Ed. Applicants having Graduation Degree with at least 45, 50% percent marks and passed / appearing in B.Ed. Senior Secondary with at least 50 percent marks and passed or appearing in final 4-year Bachelor in Elementary.

Education (B.El.Ed) / 4-year BA/ B.Sc.Ed.

A.(Ed.)/B.Sc. (Ed.) / B.Ed. (Special Education) with 50 percent in BA or B.Sc. are eligible.

Jharkhand TET 2016 Exam Pattern, Syllabus and Scheme

Jharkhand TET Syllabus consists of two objective type question papers. Each paper will consist of 150 MCQs and each question carries 1 marks totaling for 150 marks.

Following are the details of question papers:

Paper I Syllabus: To become teachers for classes I-V in Jharkhand primary school.

Paper II Syllabus: To become teachers for classes between VI and VIII in Jharkhand upper primary school.

Paper I & II: For those applicants who interested in teaching from Class I to VIII. They can appear for both the papers and have to get qualifying marks to be considered for all the classes.

JAC TET 2016 Paper I (for classes I to V): Duration of examination – one-and-a-half hours.

Structure and Content (All Compulsory): Jharkhand Teachers Eligibility Test 2016.

Paper I

  • Child Development and Pedagogy – 30 MCQs & 30 Marks
  • Language-I (Malayalam/ Kannada/ Tamil) – 30 MCQs & 30 Marks
  • Language-II (English/ Arabic) – 30 MCQs & 30 Marks
  • Mathematics – 30 MCQs & 30 Marks
  • Environment Studies – 30 MCQs & 30 Marks

Paper II

  • Child Development and Pedagogy – 30 MCQs & 30 Marks
  • Language-I – 30 MCQs & 30 Marks
  • Language-II – 30 MCQs & 30 Marks
  • (a) Science & Mathematics – 60 MCQs & 60 Marks
  • (b) Social Studies – 60 MCQs & 60 Marks

Admit Card

All JAC TET applicants can download Admit Card or Hall Ticket from Jharkhand TET Exam Official website before 15 days of the exam date.

Study Materials for Jharkhand TET 2016

Selection Process

Selection process consisting of 2 papers, first one is for primary class i.e. from class I-V and the second one is conducted for Upper Primary class i.e. from class VI-VIII.

Applicants who will score at least 60% will be considered as selected. For SC/ST the cut off score is 52%. Applicants who will qualify the TET will not be considered as finally selected.

Final selection of the applicants will be based on the TET score and on the eligibility criteria.

Application Fee

General applicants will have to pay Rs.500/- whereas.

SC/ST category applicant will have to pay Rs.250/- as the application fee.

How to Apply?

The applicants must go through the following instructions carefully prior to the filling up of application form; the applicants will have to apply online and for that, they will have to visit the official website www.jac.nic.in.

Go through the detailed instructions available on the website. The applicants will have to register with the basic information and once the registration process is complete, the login credentials will be provided.

With the login credentials the applicants can access the application form; the applicants will have to fill up the application form with correct and relevant details.
