AP Teacher Eligibility Test – APTET has invited online applications from applicants who intend to be teachers for Classes I to VIII in schools in Andhra Pradesh for appearance in the Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test – APTET to be conducted by Department of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh on 17th to 27th January 2018 in all 23 Districts of the State.

The AP Teacher Eligibility Test – APTET is a State Eligibility test for applicants seeking employment opportunities as teachers in the state government schools.

APTET 2018 Eligibility Criteria

The applicants at the time of applying for AP-TET should be in possession of the following minimum qualifications prescribed for the category of I to V classes (Paper- I) and VI to VIII classes (Paper – II) separately.

Paper-I: which is conducted for Teachers eligible to teach Class I to V.

Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks. However, in case of SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently Abled applicants, the minimum marks shall be 45%. AND pass in 2 – year Diploma in Elementary Education / 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) / 2 – year Diploma in Education (Special Education) (OR).

Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks. In respect of SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently Abled applicants, the minimum marks shall be 40%. AND pass in 2 – year Diploma in Elementary Education / 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education. (B.El.Ed.) / 2 – year Diploma in Education (Special Education) in case of the applicants, who have passed or admitted to D.El.Ed / D.Ed., course prior to the issue of these guidelines.

Paper-II: Which is conducted for Teachers eligible to teach Class VI to VIII.

B.A./B.Sc./B.Com., with at least 50% marks. In case of SC/ST/BC/Differently Abled applicants, the minimum marks shall be 45%. AND pass in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course / Bachelor of Education (B.Ed -Special Education). (OR).

B.A./B.Sc./B.Com., with at least 50% marks. In respect of SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently Abled applicants, the minimum marks shall be 40%. AND pass in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course / Bachelor of Education (B.Ed -Special Education) in case of the applicants, who have passed or admitted to B.Ed., course prior to the issue of these guidelines. (OR).

4-year B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed., with at least 50% marks, in case of SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently Abled applicants, the minimum marks shall be 45%. (OR).

Graduation with Language concerned as one of the Optional Subjects (OR) Bachelor of Oriental Language (or its equivalent) (OR) Graduation in Literature (OR) Post Graduation in Language concerned AND Language Pandit Training Certificate/ B.Ed with Language concerned as one of the Methodologies, in respect of Language Teachers.

APTET Exam Pattern | Scheme of APTET

Paper- I:

1 Child Development and Pedagogy 30 Marks

2 Language I 30 Marks

3 Language II (English) 30 Marks

4 Mathematics 30 Marks

5 Environmental Studies 30 Marks

Paper- II:

1 Child Development and Pedagogy 30 Marks

2 Language I 30 Marks

3 Language II (English) 30 Marks

4 Mathematics and Science OR Social Studies – 60 Marks

(Mathematics 30, Physical Science 14, Biological Science 16/ History and Civics 30, Geography & Economics 30)

Medium of Question Paper:

The Question Paper shall be bilingual (i.e). English followed by the Language-I chosen by the applicants for all Languages except Sanskrit. For the applicants choosing Sanskrit, the questions shall be in Telugu followed by Sanskrit (Devanagari Script).

Mode of APTET: Computer Based Test (CBT).

Pass Criteria in TET:

The criteria for considering pass in APTET is as follows:

  1. OC 60% Marks and above
  2. BC 50% Marks and above
  3. SC 40% Marks and above
  4. ST 40% Marks and above
  5. Differently abled (PH) 40% Marks and above

Applicants can apply online through aptet.cgg.gov.in.

The fee prescribed for appearing for APTET (including examination fee) is Rs.200/- for only Paper-I or Paper-II or both. Applicants can pay the fee through APONLINE or E-Seva/ Meeseva centres.

APTET Hall Ticket 2018 | APTET Admit Card Download

Applicants can download their Hall Tickets from the website at http://aptet.cgg.gov.in from January 09th 2018. In case any applicant could not download the Hall ticket she/he should contact the Commissioner and Director of School Education and Ex-Officio Director, APTET, Saifabad, Hyderabad – 04 between 10.30 AM and 5.00 PM on all working days between January 09th 2018 in person only giving details of the journal number of the fee paid, reference number of the application submitted, a copy of the printout of the Application form and one photograph (same photograph as pasted on the application form). Request for issue of duplicate Hall Ticket will not be entertained after the examination in any case.

APTET Fee Details 2018

The fee prescribed for appearing for APTET (including examination fee) is Rs.200/- (Rupees Two hundred only) for only Paper-I or only Paper-II or both. Applicants can pay the fee through APONLINE or e-Seva/mee seva centres between December 18th 2017 to December 30th 2017 and submit the online application at the APTET website http://aptet.cgg.gov.in.

APTET Exam Centers | Examination Centers for APTET 2018

APTET shall be conducted in all the 23 Districts of the State. The applicant can choose any Examination Centre (District) of his choice. However, when the capacity of any particular Examination Centre (District) gets exhausted that particular Examination Centre (District) will not be displayed in the list of examination centres given in the online application form. In such case, the applicant has to choose Examination Centre (District) of his/her choice from the remaining list available.
