Urban Fellows Program 2018 at IIHS Bangalore
Indian Institute for Human Settlements (IIHS), Bangalore has invited applications for Urban Fellows Program (UFP) 2018 to the recent Graduates & young Professionals; UFP is nine (9) months fully funded teaching program, interdisciplinary fellowship.
Urban Fellows Eligibility Criteria
The below-mentioned applicants are eligible to apply for UFP 2018:
Applicants will have a Bachelors Degree in any subject or discipline and their age should not exceed 30 years at the time of application.
The applicant holding a Bachelors Degree in any subject or discipline, including the social sciences, planning, architecture, journalism, law, media and the arts are eligible to apply.
Applicants who have non-degree training and have undertaken certification programs after their 10+2 schooling are entitled to apply for fellows program.
Applicants who do not have formal education after their Class 12, but have experience of formal or informal work in urban sectors are also applicable to apply for the program.
Applicants must be Indian citizens or Person of Indian Origin (PIOs)/ Overseas Citizen of India (OCIs)
Applications from women, people with disabilities and those from economically and socially excluded communities are encouraged.
The applying applicant’s age should not be more than 30 years at the time of applying for application; the applicants are required to have basic proficiency in reading English.
Applicants with limited speaking ability in English are also encourage as they will be provided with support.
IIHS Bangalore Urban Fellows Application Form – How to Apply?
Applications can be submitted online (preferred) or by post.
There are four main elements to each application:
(a) Basic Personal Information
(b) Educational Information
(c) Work /Internship/Volunteering Experience (if any)
(d) Supporting Information and Documents.
A Personal Statement (700 words): In a city that you know, describe an urban problem that concerns or motivates you. This could be a local issue in your neighbourhood or a bigger issue that affects your or any other city (transport or housing, for example)

Application Deadline is April 16th 2018 (Monday, 18:00 hrs, IST)
Timeline for the Admissions Procedure is as follows:
Applications Open: March 15th 2018 (Thursday)
Applications Close: April 16th 2018 (Monday 18:00 hrs, IST)
Shortlisted applicants will be contacted to set up interview times and dates: 03rd Week of May 2018
Selected and waitlisted applicants will be informed: End of June 2018
