Panjab University Lateral Entry Entrance Test 2018 for B.E. Courses

PULEET 2018 – Panjab University will hold Lateral Engineering Entrance Test – PULEET 2018 for admission to 2nd year of B.E. Courses (Session 2018-19) at Chandigarh College of Engineering & Technology (CCET), Sector 26, Chandigarh and Panjab University Swami Sarvanand Giri Regional Centre, Bajwara, Hoshiarpur, on July 15th, 2018 (Sunday).

PULEET 2018 Seats Availability

Total Vacant Seats under LEET: 48 Seats.

State Quota (UT Chandigarh: 41 Seats.

All those Applicants who have passed their qualifying examination 3 years diploma with 60% marks(55% marks for SC/ST/ PwD) in aggregate but not earlier that 2016 form Technical Institute/ colleges located in the Union Territory, Chandigarh and recognized by the Chandigarh Administration.

All India Quota: 07 seats.

Applicants who have passed their qualifying examination 3 years diploma with 60% marks(55% marks for SC/ST/ PwD) in aggregate but not earlier that 2016 but are not covered under category (a).

PULEET Eligibility 2018

The lateral entry from Diploma to 2nd year of 4year B.E. degree level would be open only to 3year Diploma holders who have completed Matriculation Examination in Physics and Mathematics.

In addition, the applicant must have obtained 60 per cent marks in the aggregate in the Diploma Course as required by AICTE.

Admission would be made on the basis of merit obtained in the Entrance Examination to be conducted by the Panjab University, Chandigarh.

PULEET 2018 Scheme of Test

The duration of the Entrance Test will be one hour and thirty minutes and it will consist of 75 multiple choice questions of one mark each. The syllabus will be based broadly on the course contents as provided in the Prospectus. There will be negative marking for wrong answers (1/4 marks will be deducted).

PULEET 2018 Merit List

The University will publish merit list of the applicants for the above course on the basis of attainment of the minimum of 20% marks (15% in the case of applicants belonging to Scheduled Castes/Schedules Tribes/ Backward Class) of maximum marks in the Entrance Test.

The Merit list will be prepared according to the criteria mentioned above.

PULEET 2018 Admit Card

The admit card will be issued to the applicant only provisionally, at the sole risk and responsibility of the applicant subject to final confirmation of their eligibility at the time of admission.

It is further clarified that the applicants will be taking the entrance test at their sole risk and responsibility as far as their eligibility is concerned and the University shall, in no way, be responsible if they are found to be ineligible, later, leading to cancellation of their result or any other consequence(s) emanating from the same.

Register Online [last date for registration: June 26th 2018]

Note down your Login Id and Password.

Deposit fee using website generated bank slip at any SBI branch, minimum one day after printing of bank slip[last date for submission of fee in any SBI branch: June 29th 2018]

Login and upload scanned photograph, signature, fill other important information Save and Confirm [last date for completion of form: July 02nd 2018],

Download your Admit Card after July 10th 2018.


If more than 24 Hrs. have passed after depositing the fee in bank and your journal number is not confirmed, write to puleet@pu.ac.in with scanned copy of bank slip.

Applicant availing concession in the fee under category SC/ST/PwD OR Class B/C Regular Employee of PU must send the copy of printout of their Entrance Test Form along with Category Certificate / Performa for claiming 50% concession for P.U. Regular Employees (“B”and “C” Class) duly signed by Head/Chairperson to Assistant Registrar, CET Cell, Aruna Ranjit Chandra Hall, Panjab University, Chandigarh-160014 by registered post/speed post or by hand on or before July 07th 2018 (Saturday) upto04.00 pm.

Mere login id creation OR deposit of fee does not mean that applicant has completed his/her online application form.

Incomplete form leads to cancellation of candidature. Any request for completion of form after due date will not be entertained at all.
