Odisha Post Graduate Medical (MD/MS) Courses Admission 2016
Odisha PG Medical Admission 2016 through AIPGMEE has been announced. Consequent upon the decision of Govt. to take applicants from the merit list of AIPGMEE 2016 for admission to MD/MS courses in the State Quota seats in the academic session 2016-17
The following guidelines are framed for counselling and admission of applicants against 50% state quota seats in different Govt. Medical Colleges of the state and HITECH Medical College, Bhubaneswar.
Duration of the Course
The Post Graduate (Medical) Courses usually are of 3 years duration from the date of commencement of the course i.e. 02nd May 2016 subject to joining of the applicant in the course.
Applicants having recognized PG Diploma shall be exempted one year from the total duration of PG (Medical) Course provided they undergo PG (Medical) Course in the same subject.
Courses of study and the registration of applicants for Post-graduate study at the respective colleges in the subjects concerned will be regulated by the University to which the Medical College is affiliated.
Eligibility Criteria for PG Medical Courses
Applicant must have passed MBBS from any MCI recognised institution and must have the following criteria:
Applicant must be a permanent resident of Odisha (or);
Applicant of outside state but passed MBBS from any Govt Medical College of Odisha, who was admitted under 15 % All India Quota seats (or); Son/daughter/ spouse of a person who has served in Defence Service in the state of Odisha for minimum of 5 years by 31st March 2016.
Applicants must have qualified in AIPGMEE 2016 securing the qualifying marks as prescribed by MCI (50% for UR, 45% for UR-PH and 40% for SC/ST).
Applicants must have completed one year of Compulsory Rotatory Internship/Houseman ship by 31st March 2016.
Applicants who have completed or undergoing PG (Medical) Course in any subject or have taken admission in PG (Medical) Course in any of the three Govt Medical Colleges of Odisha (or); HITECH Medical College, Pandara, Bhubaneswar, but have not joined/discontinued after joining after last date of admission, during last 3 years, shall not be eligible to participate for PG Medical Counselling.
Distribution of Seats: The available seats under the state quota are to be distributed among in-service and direct applicants on 50:50 basis; in case the total seats come to an odd number, the extra seat will be distributed between in-service and direct applicants on year to year rotation basis.
Reservation of Seats: The reservation percentage for both direct & in-service category will be 69% for UR category, 12% for ST category, 8% for SC category, 3% for PH and 5 % for Green Card category and 3% for Defence category.
Applicant selected for admission in Govt. Medical Colleges, shall have to deposit the following fees:
Admission Fees (one time) Rs.2000/-; Consolidated Tuition Fees Rs.25,000/-; Library Fees (per annum) Rs.600/-; Journal Fees (per annum) Rs.1000/-; Fees for issue of Identity card (one time) Rs.100/-; College Security Deposit (one time & refundable) Rs.10,000/-; PG Students’ Union fees (one time) Rs.600/-; Students’ Dramatic Society Fees Rs.300/-; Students’ Academic Society fees (one time) Rs.300/-; total fee Rs.40,000/-.

Reporting in Respective Institution: April 04th to April 22nd 2016 on any working day from 11.00 am to 04.00 pm
Commencement of Session: May 02nd 2016 unless otherwise notified
