Panjab University LLB Entrance Exam acronym as PU-LLB Entrance Exam is conducted by Panjab University to provide admission in Bachelor of Laws (LL.B Professional 3year Course) (Semester System) running in its following given Legal study centers:

(i) Department of Law PU Chandigarh.

(ii) PU Regional Centre Muktsar (Punjab).

(iii) PU Regional Centre Ludhiana (Punjab).

(iv) UILS, PU Regional Centre, Bajwara, Hoshiarpur (Punjab).

Number of Seats

The University offers 431 seats for three year LLB programs distributed among four colleges including:

(i) Department of Laws, PU Chandigarh: 202 (Morning), 202 (Evening); Seats for Foreign Nationals/NRI Applicants: 27 Seats.

(ii) PU Regional Centre, Muktsar (Punjab): 58 Seats; Seats for Foreign Nationals/NRI Applicants: 08 Seats.

(iii) PU Regional Centre, Ludhiana (Punjab): 72 (Evening); Seats for Foreign Nationals/NRI Applicants: 09 Seats.

(iv) UILS, Swami Sarvanand Giri, PU Regional Centre, Hoshiarpur (Punjab): 60+3 Seats.

Panjab University LLB Eligibility 2018

Educational Qualification: The Entrance Test for Bachelor of Laws (LLB) shall be open to all such Applicants who possess the qualifications as mentioned below:

Those applicants who have passed/appeared in the final year Bachelor’s degree in any faculty of the Panjab University with at least 45 percent of the aggregate marks (40 percent for SC/ST/BC Applicants); OR

A Bachelor’s degree in any faculty of any other University recognized as equivalent to the corresponding degree of the Punjab University with at least 45 percent of the aggregate marks (40 percent for SC/ST/BC Applicants).

Provided that in case of Applicants having Bachelor’s degree of the Punjab University or any other University recognized by the Syndicate through Modern Indian Languages (Hindi, Urdu or Punjabi) (Gurumukhi script) and /or in a Classical Language (Sanskrit or Persian or Arabic), the aggregate of 45 percent marks (40 percent for SC/ST/BC Applicants) shall be calculated by taking into account the percentage of aggregate marks that he/she had secured at the language examination, excluding the marks for the additional optional paper English and the elective subject taken together; OR

Master’s Degree in any subject from the Punjab University.

A Master’s degree from any other university recognized as equivalent to the corresponding post-graduate degree of the Punjab University.

Age Limits: There are no upper age limits for taking PU LLB Entrance exam.

Panjab University LLB Program 2018 Exam Fees

The examination fee for PU LLB entrance exam is

i) For General Category applicants: Rs.1000/-

ii) For SC/ST Category applicants: Rs.550/-

(50 percent concession for PU regular employees under B&C class Senate)

This prospectus is valid for the only online application form. The online application form for General and SC/ST categories are priced differently. Please pay the correct fees to avoid complication at the time of admission.

The Applicants shall have to apply for admission to the course within the prescribed time limit, directly and independently to the respective departments/ centers.

This information for applying online will be available as in the Hand Book of Information and on the University Website after the advertisement of the admission notice in the newspaper.

Panjab University LLB Application Form – How to Apply?

Applicants can apply only Online for PU LLB Entrance Exam by following the following given steps

  • Register Online.
  • Note down your Login Id and Password.
  • Download SBI Slip and pay fee in any SBI branch.
  • Login and upload scanned photograph, signature, fill other important information Save and Confirm.
  • Download your Admit Card.

Applicant availing concession in the fee under the category SC/ST/Blind OR PU Class B/C Regular Employee must send the copy of printout of their filled form along with the self attested copy of Category Certificate / Proforma for claiming 50 percent concession to PU Regular Employees (“B” and “C” Class) duly signed by Head/Chairperson, to Assistant Registrar, CET Cell, Aruna Ranjit Chandra Hall, Panjab University, Chandigarh-160014 by registered post/speed post or by hand.

Date of Availability of Prospectus and Entrance Test Form on the website: April 10th 2018 (Tuesday)

Last date for submission of information on the website to generate the Bank Challan: May 22nd 2018 (Tuesday)

Last date for deposit of fee in any branch of State Bank of India using website generated challan: May 25th 2018 (Friday) upto 4:00 p.m.

Last date for uploading of photograph, signature with rest of the information on the website: May 28th 2018 (Monday)

No correction will be entertained / made regarding photograph, signature and any other information after 31-05-2018. 5:00 p.m.: May 31st 2018 (Thursday) upto 5:00 p.m.

Availability of Admit Card Online Admit Card along with Time & Centre of Examination is to be downloaded from the website by the candidate using his/her own Login ID and Password provided while generating Bank Challan. The candidates will be communicated through email only for this purpose: June 07th 2018 (Thursday)
