Master of Engineering Programs | NITTTR Chandigarh M.E Admission 2018

NITTTR Chandigarh ME Admission 2018: National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR), Chandigarh has invited applications for admission to Master of Engineering (M.E) Programs (both Regular and Modular) for 2018 sessions.

Duration of the Programs

For ME Regular Programs: The normal duration of ME (Regular) Programs including thesis will be 2 academic years (4 Semesters); the maximum period of completion of the program including thesis shall be 3 academic years (6 Semesters).

For ME Modular Programs: The normal duration of ME (Modular) Programs including thesis will be 3½ academic years (7 spells, each spell of 5 weeks duration); the maximum period of completion of the program including thesis shall be 5½ academic years (11 spells).

ME Regular Programs

Total number of seats in each of the ME Regular programs at Sr. Nos. (i), (ii) and (iii) above are 28.

  • 19 seats in each program are for full time sponsored Polytechnic/Engineering College Regular teachers, officials of Directorates & Boards of Technical Education.
  • 04 seats in each program are for full time sponsored working professionals from industry/other organizations including technical staff of universities and.
  • 05 seats are for fresh engineering graduate Applicants.
  • Total number of seats in ME Regular programs at Sr. Nos. (iv) and (v) above are 26 and 19 respectively.
  • 20 and 11 seats respectively in these programs are for full time sponsored Polytechnic/Engineering College Regular teachers, officials of Directorates, Boards of Technical Education.
  • 06 seats and 08 seats respectively in these programs are for fresh engineering graduates and Applicants from industry/ other organizations including technical staff of universities.

ME Modular Programs:

Total number of seats in each of the ME (Modular) Program is given below:

  • ME in Mechanical Engineering (Manufacturing Technology) [40 Seats]
  • ME in Civil Engineering (Construction Technology & Management) [40 Seats]
  • ME in Computer Science & Engineering [40 Seats]
  • ME in Electrical Engineering (Instrumentation and Control) [40 Seats]
  • ME in Electronics & Communication Engineering [40 Seats]

Total No. of Seats in each of the five ME (Modular) program at Sr. Nos.: (i) to (v) above are 40, for sponsored Polytechnic/Engineering College Regular teachers, officials of Directorates, Boards of Technical Education, Universities and official/staff of NITTTRs.

NITTR Chandigarh Application Form 2018

Applications for admission to ME Programs (both Regular & Modular) for the session 2018, duly sponsored by the competent authority should reach the institute as per detail is given below:

The application can be downloaded from the website link http://nitttrchd.ac.in. Filled in forms must accompany a demand draft Rs.2000/- drawn in favour of Director, ITTTR, Chandigarh.

Applications for admission to ME Programs (both Regular & Modular) for the session 2018 should reach the institute as per detail is given below.

Applicants may send an advance copy of their application along with all DMCs, Experience certificates and a Demand Draft of Rs.2000/- drawn in favour of Director, NITTTR Chandigarh to avoid delay.

However, final consideration of application will be subject to their being sponsored by the competent authority at the time of counseling at this Institute.

Applicants admitted for various ME Programs (Regular & Modular) will have to submit their Medical Fitness Certificate duly signed by Medical Officer of any Govt. Dispensary/hospital within 15 days from the date of their admission (in case of Regular programs) and 05 days from the date of their admission (in case of Modular programs).

No separate call letters will be issued for attending the counseling. Applicants shall attend the counseling interviews for admission to ME program at their own expenses.

Eligibility Criteria

Fresh Engineering graduates shall be admitted on the basis of valid GATE score or OCET (Other Common Entrance Test, if conducted by PU, Chandigarh) merit of PU, Chandigarh (as per criteria approved by Panjab University, Chandigarh).

All such Applicants must apply for these programs in the institute by the last date on the application form downloaded from www.nitttrchd.ac.in.

In addition, they are also required to apply to Panjab University, Chandigarh for appearing in the OCET (Rules & Regulations and date of OCET can be checked from the website of Panjab University, Chandigarh: www.pu.ac.in).

Qualifications and Experience

ME in Mechanical Eng. (Manufacturing Technology) Program: A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Eng/Manufacturing Engineering (or Technology)/Production Eng./Industrial Eng./Automobile Engineering from a recognized University or its equivalent with at least 60% marks in aggregate and post qualification experience of at least 1 year (2 years in case of AMIE) in teaching/industry/research organization.

ME in Civil Eng. (Construction Technology & Mgt) Program: A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or its equivalent with at least 60% marks in aggregate and post qualification experience of at least 1 year (2 years in case of AMIE) in teaching/industry/research organization.

ME in Computer Science & Engineering Program: A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science & Engineering /Electronics Engineering/ Electrical Engineering/ Instrumentation & Control Engineering/ Information Technology from a recognized University or its equivalent with at least 60% marks in aggregate and post qualification experience of at least 1 year (2 years in case of AMIE) in teaching/ industry/research organization.

ME in Electrical Eng. (Instrumentation & Control) Program: A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering /Electronics Engineering/ Instrumentation and Control Engineering from a recognized University or its equivalent with at least 60% marks in aggregate and post qualification experience of at least 1 year (2 years in case of AMIE) in teaching/industry/research organization.

ME in Electronics & Communication Eng. Program: A Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from a recognized University or its equivalent with at least 60% marks in aggregate and post qualification experience of at least 1 year (2 years in case of AMIE) in teaching/industry/research organization.

Admission under DASA only for ME Regular Programs: Two seats in each of ME Mechanical Eng, (Manufacturing Technology) ME Civil Eng. (Construction Technology & Mgmt) and ME Electrical Engineering (Instrumentation & Control) and three seats in each of ME Computer Science & Engineering and ME Electronics & Communication Engineering Regular programs are available under DASA-2015 in respect of foreign nationals/PIOs and NRIs.

Reservation

15% seats are reserved for SC Applicants, 7.5% seats for ST Applicants, 3% for disabled Applicants and 27% seats for OBC Applicants as per instructions of Govt. of India applicable to Central Educational institutions.

The institute reserves the right of admission entirely and the decision of NITTTR authorities on admission will be final in all the cases.
