JNU CBEE 2018 Notification & Dates | JNU Admission 2018

Combined Biotechnology Entrance Examination (CBEE) conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) for admission to M.Sc Biotechnology Program 2018 Session.

JNU MSc Biotechnology Eligibility Criteria 2018

Bachelor’s degree under 10+2+3 pattern of education in Physical, Biological, Agricultural, Veterinary and Fishery Sciences, Pharmacy, Engineering/Technology, 4-years B.Sc (Physician Assistant Course); or Medicine (MBBS) or BDS with at least 55 percent marks.

Only those applicants who have passed the qualifying examinations in 2014 or thereafter including those who are appearing in 2017 are eligible to apply.

Eligibility of Applicants who are due to Appear in the Qualifying Exam

The applicants who are due to appear in the respective qualifying examination prescribed as eligibility for admission shall also be considered for appearing in the entrance examination.

Such of the applicants will be allowed to appear in the entrance examination at their own risk and on the clear stipulation that in the event of their selection, they will be entitled to admission only if they secure the minimum prescribed percentage of marks in their qualifying degree exam and that they will be required to submit all the documents including final mark-sheet of the qualifying exam (indicating the final and overall percentage of marks) before the deadline for admission fixed by the concerned participating university.

Reservation: 15 percent, 7½ percent and 3 percent of seats shall be reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Person with Disability (PWD) applicants respectively.

JNU CBEE Selection Procedure 2018

The selection will depend strictly on the basis of inter-se merit of the applicant in the entrance examination visa-vis preferences for joining the universities indicated by the applicant.

In case an applicant has not indicated his/her choice for joining a particular University, his/her name will not be considered for that University.

The applicants will be asked to send to JNU a Bank draft of Rs.5000/- (Rs.2500/- in the case of SC/ST/PH applicants) as initial security deposit giving their willingness to be considered for admission to the participating universities in accordance with their options for joining the universities vis-à-vis their inter-se merit in the entrance examination.

Applicants are advised to check the allotment of the university on the web site of the University (www.jnu.ac.in) in the 01st / 02nd Week of January.

JNU CBEE Admit Card 2018

The applicants may download their Admit Card from the University’s website www.jnu.ac.in and take the Admit Card to the Examination Centre with a copy of latest passport size photograph.

Those applicants who have applied and fulfil the prescribed eligibility conditions but somehow are able to download the Admit Card are advised to contact either the JNU.

JNU Examination Fee 2018

You have enclosed a Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favour of “Jawaharlal Nehru University” payable at New Delhi for the amount indicated below towards the entrance examination fee

  • General Category Applicants including OBC Applicants – Rs.600/-
  • SC/ST/PWD Category Applicants (PWD includes OH, VH and HH) – Rs.300/-
  • Foreign Nationals US$ 25.00 or Rs.1550/-

Application Forms can be submitted only by Registered Post/Speed Post to Section Officer (Admissions), Room No.28, Administrative Block, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi-110067.

JNU will not accept responsibility for any postal delay or irregularity or loss in postal transit.

Please do not send your application form through private courier services or any other postal mode except registered post/speed post.

Start of Application Process: September 15th, 2017 from 10.00am

Closing of application process: October 13th, 2017 till 11.59pm

Date and time of Entrance Exam: December 30th, 2017 

Results of Entrance Exam:

Merit list of applicants to exercise their option for universities: 02nd/03rd week of January 2018
