Jain University, Bangalore has been invited applications for admission to Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) Program for 2016 session.

Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) program in Biotechnology, Chemistry, Hindi, Biochemistry, Physics, Psychology, Microbiology, Electronics, Economics, Mathematics, Commerce, Cultural Studies, Political Science, English, Kannada, Sanskrit, Ancient Indian History and Culture, Computer science and Management.
Duration of the Program: One Year, Two Semesters
Eligibility Criteria for Jain University MPhil Admission 2016
Applicant should hold a Master’s Degree (from a recognised university) in the relevant subject with a minimum of 55 percent (In the case of SC/ST Applicants there will be a relaxation of 5 percent).
Applicants who are qualified for CA or ACS or ICWA with basic degree are also eligible to register for M.Phil. in this category.
Applicants who have qualified for Master’s Degree prior to 1990-1991, with no less than 50 percent marks are also eligible to register for M.Phil. Program.
Eligible Applicants will be required to take up M.Phil Entrance Examination comprising an Aptitude Test, a subject Paper and an Interview.
Application for admission in the university must be in the prescribed form; students who want to apply for different combinations must apply in separate application forms.

Applicant must submit his/her application to the University, in the prescribed form with a Demand Draft (DD) of Rs.1000/- INR in the favour of Jain University, payable at Bangalore, along with other necessary documents; viz., degree certificate, marks cards and such other documents prescribed along with receipt for having paid the prescribed fee; in case of employed Applicants, no objection/deputation certificate from the employer, for pursuing research is necessary.
Filled application forms can be couriered to “Jain University, School of Graduate Studies, #34, 1st Cross, JC Road, Bangalore – 560001”.
Applicant must submit two copies of a “Synopsis” along with his / her application.
Eligible Applicants will be required to take up M.Phil Entrance examination comprising an Aptitude Test, a Subject Paper and an Interview.
Reservation category (SC/ST/CAT-I/2A/2B/3A/3B) and Physically Handicapped students must submit the photo copy of their caste/category/disability certificate (attested by a gazetted officer) issued by the concerned authorities of the govt of Karnataka along with the application form.
The dully filled in application form has to be submitted at the university admission office as per the prescribed scheduled; the list of provisionally selected applicants will be notified/published on the university notice board.
As part of the admission procedure students have to attend the personal interview along with their parents.
Admission to various programmes will however be subject to verification of facts from the original certificate/documents of the applicants.
