MBBS Courses 2016 at P.K. Das Institute of Medical Sciences
P.K. Das Institute of Medical Sciences, Vaniamkulam (Kerala) has invited applications for admission to MBBS Course for 2016-17 sessions.
Nationality: Applicants must be Citizens of India/Children or dependents of Non Resident Indians.
Applicants must have passed in Higher Secondary Examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education of Kerala or an examination recognized equivalent thereto with at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio Technology and English individually.
SC/ST/OBC applicants shall be eligible for relaxation in minimum marks as per the norms prescribed by the Medical Council of India (MCI).
Rounding off of the percentage of marks to the nearest whole number is not permitted.
Applicants who have not passed their qualifying exam from the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala, CBSE or ICSE shall provide an equivalency certificate obtained from the concerned University/ Board.
In order to seek admission, the applicant must be qualified in the rank list of the NEET Entrance Examinations 2016 for admission to MBBS course and the Applicants must be eligible as per the norms prescribed by the MCI.
Age Limit: Applicants must have completed 17 years of age on 31st December 2016. No relaxation in age will be allowed.
Seats Allocation & Procedure of Selection
The annual intake is 150 MBBS Students. The seat matrix is as follows:
a) 15% of total seats are reserved as NRI seats (i.e., 23 seats out of 150 seats) to be filled by the Management from eligible applicants who are children/dependents of Non Resident Indian, as per the conditions stipulated in GO (MS).
An applicant must be one who depends upon his/her father /Mother/Brothers and Sisters (inclusive of first cousins) or whose Father or Mother/Half Brother/Half Sister/Adopted Father or Adopted Mother is working abroad.
The College shall admit and fill up 15% seats (i.e., 23 seats out of 150 seats) on the basis of inter-se merit of the applications based on the ranking in the NEET Entrance Exams 2016.
b) The College shall admit and fill up 85% seats (i.e., 127 seats out of 150 seats) on the basis of inter-se merit of the applications based on the ranking in the NEET Entrance Exams 2016.
c) Seats un-availed by the SC applicants will go to the ST applicants and vice versa. Seats un-availed by the reservation categories will go to State Merit Category in General Merit.
d) To be eligible to apply for admission to MBBS course, the applicant should have secured a minimum of marks at 50th percentile in National Eligibility-Cum-Entrance Test to MBBS Course held for this academic year (NEET-2016).

Applicants are required to go through the Prospectus carefully and familiarize themselves with all relevant information. They are also invited to visit the official Website of the College, i.e. www.pkdims.org for more details.
The duly filled downloaded application must be submitted along with application fee of Rs.2000/- by online payment. Note: Application Fee is non-refundable.
Completed application with all the required certificates/documents shall be submitted to the College Office in person or sent by Regd. Post/Speed Post with A/D, so as to reach the College before the stipulated time and date. The college will not be responsible for any postal delay.
