University of Mumbai Distance Education MCA Admission 2017
Duration: MCA course three years (six semesters)
MCA Eligibility 2017
Bachelor’s degree (Graduation) in any faculty of a recognized University with minimum 45 percent marks (minimum 40 percent marks) with Mathematics as a subject at XII or higher level.
Students who have appeared for their final year examination and whose results are awaited are eligible to apply for the MCA Entrance Test.
MCA Entrance Test Date 2017
Dates for Submission of Forms with e-payment: July 10th 2017 to July 17th 2017
Dates for Submission of Forms with Bank of Maharashtra challan: July 12th to July 15th 2017
Date of the online Entrance Test: July 30th 2017 at 01.00 pm to 03.00 pm
Hall tickets will be generated on July 26th 2017, 05.00 pm that you will have to avail by clicking “Print Hall Ticket” Option in your login i.e., by entering your Username and Password
Reservation of Seats
The percentage of seats reserved for applicants of backward class categories belonging to Maharashtra State is as follows:
i) 13 percent Seats: SC
ii) 7 percent Seats: ST
iii) 3 percent Seats: D.T (A)
iv) 2.5 percent Seats: N.T (B)
v) 3.5 percent: N.T (C)
vi) 2 percent Seats: N.T (D)
vii) 19 percent Seats: OBC
viii) 30 percent Seats: Women’s (Horizontal) Reservation as per State Govt.
SBC: As per Circular No. BCC/29/34 of 1997 dated 25-9-1997
Physically Handicapped: As per Circular No. Special Cell/2/2008 Handicapped dated 25-1-2008ix) 03 percent seats.
There is a 30 percent (Horizontal) Reservation for women as per state government rules.

MCA Registration Form
Application forms for Mumbai University MCA Entrance 2017 will be available on (www.mu.ac.in/idol or idol.mahaonline.gov.in) Application is to be submitted online.
Entrance examination fees of Rs.500/- is to be paid online through challan of Bank of Maharashtra OR through Credit / Debit Card by Payment Gateway.
Challan of Maharashtra will be accepted for payment within 3 days from the date of submission of online form (excluding the day of submission) in their respective branches.
Verification of all eligibility criteria documents including caste certificates, caste validity certificates of only those applicants who qualify for the Entrance test will be done at the time of admission.
All the applicants claiming reservation under reserved category shall submit “Caste certificate” issued by the Competent Authority from the State of Maharashtra at the time of online submission of application form for Admission to MCA course.
Applicants belonging to SC/ST, VJ/DT (A), NT (B), NT(C), NT (D), and OBC/SBC categories must produce “Caste Validity Certificate” issued by the competent Authority at the time of online submission of application form.
Application of applicants who submit wrong/incorrect information/documents/certificates will be summarily rejected after verification at any point in time.
