PGPEx-MBIC Programme 2017

Rajiv Gandhi Indian Institute of Management, Shillong has invited applications for admission to PGPEx – Managing Business in India and China course 2017 session.

Eligibility for Rajiv Gandhi IIM Shillong PGPEx MBIC Programme 2017

For an applicant having Indian Nationality, the applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, after completing 10+2 system of education, with at least 50 percent marks or equivalent CGPA 45 percent in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Abled (DA).

The applicants must have valid CAT or GMAT scores.

Selection Criteria

The overall process consists of 2 phases. In the First Phase, applicants will be short-listed for the Second Phase of Personal Assessment through an Executive Assessment Center (EAC@IIMS)

Phase I: Short-listing for EAC@IIMS

Applicants will be subjected to following Criteria in order to shortlist a set candidates for Phase II i.e. EAC@IIMS, of the admission process

Step 1: Criteria for Ranking Applicants in Phase I

Criterion 1: Age Limit: Maximum up to 35 years as on Date of Registration into PGPEx 2016 Batch i.e. 07th October 2016; that means the applicant must have birth date on or after, 07 October 1981

Criterion 2: Experience: Minimum 5 (Five) Years of FULL Time Work Experience till the Last Date of Application i.e. 24 July 2016

Step 2: Ranking the Applicants for Short-listing for Call for EAC@IIMS

The candidates qualifying through Criteria 1-4 will be ranked based on their performance in CAT 2015 Overall Score (who qualify based on CAT in Criterion 4) and GMAT Overall Scores (who qualify based on GMAT in Criterion 4)

Step 3: Call for EAC@IIMS

A suitable number of applicants, based on their merit in the rank obtained in Step 2 will be called for appearing into EAC@IIMS at Guwahati; the lists of applicants for EAC@IIMS will be shortlisted proportionately from both rank-lists (GMAT and CAT), divided in proportion with the number of applicants in the ranked lists.

For example, in any Category (DA/ST/SC/OT), if X number of applicants qualify in Step 2 through qualifying CAT (in Criterion 4 of Step 2) and Y number of applicants qualify in Step 2 through qualifying GMAT (in Criterion 4 of Step 2) and it is decided to call N number of applicants in that Category for EAC@IIMS.

Reservation Policy

The Institute abides by the reservation policy as per the Government of India provisions as applicable on RGIIM Shillong

Application Form

Application Form and Brochure will be available online www.iimshillong.ac.in.

Applicants can fill-up the application form and pay application fees online. The applicants applying as Indian Nationals need to pay non-refundable Application Fee of INR 3,000 (Rupees Three Thousand Only), while applying for admission.

The applicants applying as Other Nationals (other than Indian National) need to pay non-refundable Application Fee of USD 250, while applying for admission.
