Engineering Entrance Exam 2017 at Bharath University Chennai

Bharath University, Chennai has invited applications for admission to 4 years Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), Lateral Entry to B.Tech, 2 years Master of Technology (M.Tech) and Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch), MCA, M.Arch, and MBA Programs offered in various disciplines for 2017-18 sessions.

Eligibility Criteria for BEEE 2017

Nationality: The application for admission must be a resident Indian national and (i) should have studied in schools located in India in the preceding two years for admission to Undergraduate program (ii) must have studied in educational institutions in India and completed their qualifying examination.

Undergraduate Programs:

For B.Tech: A pass in 10+2 or its equivalent with Minimum 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

For Industrial Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Bioinformatics, Bio processing and Genetic Engineering with Minimum 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

For B.Arch: (a) A pass in 10+2 or its equivalent having a minimum total aggregate of 50% with English and Mathematics as subjects of study or 10+3 Diploma (Any Stream) recognized by Central/State Government with 50% aggregate marks.

b) A pass in National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture. No separate entrance examination will be conducted by Bharath University. However, the applicants have to apply in the prescribed application form for admission to B.Arch Programme.

For Science and Humanities: A Pass in 10+2 or its equivalent.

B.Tech Lateral Entry: A Pass in Diploma Recognized by Central or State Government with 50% aggregate /B.Sc with Mathematics or its equivalent.

Post-Graduate Programs

For M.Tech.: Any B.E/B. Tech or its equivalent examination approved by UGC/AICTE in appropriate branch with at least 60% marks in the aggregate or equivalent CGPA or eligible for respective courses.

For M.Com.: Any Under Graduate with first class or 60% marks or equivalents.

For MCA: Any Under Graduate with Business Mathematics or Statistics are eligible for first year MCA.

For B.Sc. in Computer Science, Information Technology/Electronics are eligible for Lateral Entry Program.

For M.Sc.: Any B.Sc. or their equivalent examinations in appropriate branch are eligible for respective courses.

Selection Procedure

Selection of applicants will be done on the basis of their performance in their Bharath Engineering Entrance Examination (BEEE) conducted by the institute.

Exam Pattern for BEEE 2017

Bharath Engineering Entrance Exam question paper will be based n the exam pattern of BEEE. Applicants can check the exam pattern for BEEE 2017 from below:

Subjects: English (10 questions; 10 marks); Physics (30 questions; 30 marks); Chemistry (30 questions; 30 marks); Mathematics (30 questions; 30 marks); Biology (30 questions; 30 marks).

Only for Biology students.

Total marks that can be obtained in the exam is 100. There is no negative marking.

BEEE 2017 Admit Card

Admit card of BEEE 2017 is also known as BEEE hall ticket; after a applicant has applied, he/she is issued a document from the exam conducting body, which is very important from the examination point of view.

The BEEE admit card is expected to be available a few days (or weeks) before the date of exam.

How to Apply?

The Application Forms will be issued from February onwards. There are two modes of registration.

Online with e-payment use the URL, register and pay online.

Online with Demand Draft: Application to be filled online by visiting, and the same can be downloaded and sent to us with the demand draft (DD) for Rs.900/- drawn in favour of Bharath University, payable at Chennai.

This has to reach us before the last date specified. Applicants should write their name and address on the reverse of Demand draft (DD). Your application will be processed only upon receipt of the demand draft (DD).

Direct: Applicants can obtain the application form from any of the following sources upon payment of 900/-.

Date of Entrance Exam (Paper & Pencil Test): January 22nd 2017 (Sunday)

Declaration of Result (Phase-I): February 13th 2017 (Monday)


Last date for Receipt of Filled-in Application: April 01st 2017 (Saturday)

Date of Entrance Exam (Paper & Pencil Test): April 16th 2017 (Sunday)

Date of BEEE (CBT): 16th to 25th April 2017 (Sunday-Tuesday)

Declaration of Result (Phase-II): May 03rd 2017 (Wednesday)
