Ahmedabad University AMSOM MBA Admission 2017

The Amrut Mody School of Management (AMSOM) has invited applications for admission to MBA Programs 2016 for Regular and NRI/NRI Sponsored for the academic session 2017.

Applicants who have appeared for CAT 2016 or CMAT 2017 can apply for MBA Admission 2017.

Eligibility Criteria for AMSOM MBA Admission 2017

Applicants who have appeared for either CAT 2016 conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) or Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) 2017 conducted by AICTE are eligible to apply.

Applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India, with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST applicants) or equivalent CGPA, of any University incorporated.

The Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the applicant must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent.

Such applicant must produce a certificate from the authority of the of the university/institution certifying that the applicant has obtained 50% marks or equivalent based on latest available grades/marks (i.e. all the years grade/marks except the final year grade/marks), and; the applicant has completed all the requirements and has appeared for the exams/practical etc. for the final year/final term and that the results is awaited for obtaining the bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification.

Selection Process

Applicants who have either CAT 2016 or Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) 2017, and seek admission in the MBA program at AMSoM, must apply in the prescribed form.

Based on the cut-off as decided by the admissions committee, applicants will be shortlisted for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). All the shortlisted applicants will be required to appear for GD and PI at AMSoM campus on specified dates; these dates will be announced and the schedule will be put up on the website.

Selection Matrix

Selection of students shall be done using the following criteria: CAT percentage/ CMAT percentage 50%; Personal Interview: 30%; Work Experience: 10%; Academic Performance plus 10%; Total: 100%.

Reservations: There will be a reasonable relaxation in cut-off point for SC/ST/SEBC category applicants for admission in AMSoM MBA program.

Payment Mode: Payment by Cheque/Demand Draft – Fees may be paid by cheque/demand draft drawn in favour of “Ahmedabad University”, payable at Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

How to Apply – AMSOM MBA Admission 2017?

Applicants can apply for MBA program by downloading the application from the official website (http://pgim.ahduni.edu.in) as per schedule date. Applicants are advised must ensure their eligibility and other criteria before applying for the said course.

Applicants may apply by sending duly filled application form along with the payment of the application fee of Rs.1000/-; the application fee can be paid via cash/demand draft (DD) in favour of “Ahmedabad University”, payable at Ahmedabad.

Those applicants who want to apply to Regular as well as NRI seats should clearly mention the same in the application form; depending on the merit performance, he/she may be offered admission in the respective category.
