MBBS BDS Admission 2016 at Yenepoya University through NEET Scores
Yenepoya University has invited applications for admission to MBBS BDS courses for 2016 session offered at Yenepoya Medical College and Yenepoya Dental College. Both the colleges are situated in Daraklakatte and Mangalore.
Admission will be taken on the basis of NEET 2016 Score and the students who appeared in NEET must apply by submitting the application form issued by the Yenepoya University after the declaration of NEET Result.
Total seats available for seats sanctioned for admissions:
a) 150 for MBBS.
b) 100 for BDS.
The admissions will be carried out as per the following norms:
(i) 15% of the seats will be filled from NRI applicants.
(ii) 85% of the seats will be filled only from the NEET merit list in the following manner:
(a) 40% are reserved for Muslim applicants from Karnataka & Karnataka origin applicants.
(b) 25% are reserved for Muslim applicants from the rest of India.
(c) 35% are reserved for applicants from the all India general merit category (Includes applicants selected through Karnataka CET).
If the required number of eligible applicants are not available in any of the categories mentioned above, the unfilled seats will be filled in the subsequent quota in the order of vacancies and finally from the All India General Merit list.
Eligibility Criteria for MBBS/BDS Courses
The eligibility criteria given below is as per the YU UGET. Additionally, the applicants must qualified NEET 2016.
Applicants must have passed in second PUC or 10+2 or equivalent examination recognized by State / Central Government, with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with English subject.
Applicants must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in PUB. The applicants who are appearing for the prescribed qualifying examination and expecting the results are also eligible to apply.
The applicant must have completed seventeen years of age as on 31st December of the academic year of admission.
Application Forms may be obtained from the office of the Registrar and can also be downloaded from website www.yenepoya.edu.in. Applications are also available at the Administrative Office of Yenepoya University.
