SRU Chennai MBBS BDS Degree Programs 2017 through NEET 2017 Scores

Sri Ramachandra University (SRU) Chennai has invited applications for admission to MBBS and BDS Courses for the eligible applicants who qualified in NEET-2017 for 2017 sessions.

Applicants with eligibility marks prescribed by MCI/DCI in the 12th Std. and NEET-(UG) 2017, for admission to MBBS/BDS course for 2017 sessions.

Duration: MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) – 4½ + 1 year internship, BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) – 4+1 year internship.

Seats: MBBS (250 Seats) and BDS (100 Seats).

Including 15% of NRI/Foreign category seats, (MBBS-38 seats & BDS-15 seats) which will be filled by a separate application process.

Eligibility for MBBS BDS Admission 2017

Applicants belonging to any State/Union Territory of India are eligible.

Every applicant must possess the qualifications and fulfill all criteria prescribed by the MCI/DCI, at the time of joining the course concerned.

MCI for admission to MBBS: Applicants must have studied in a recognized School and passed H.S.C (+2) exam/equivalent examination and obtained a minimum of 50% of marks (in case of SC/ST & OBC 40%) taking together Physics, Chemistry and Biology (or Botany & Zoology)/Biotechnology and a pass in English.

DCI norms for admission to BDS: Applicants must have studied in a recognized School and passed H.S.C (+2) exam/equivalent examination and obtained a minimum of 50% of marks (in case of SC/ST & OBC 40%) taking together Physics, Chemistry and Biology (or Botany & Zoology) and a pass in English.

All India rank in NEET (UG-2016) merit list, medical fitness and such other criteria as may be prescribed by the Govt. of India, MCI/DCI and Sri Ramachandra University.

Age Limit: Applicants must have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December 2017.

Date of birth entered in the Mark Statement of HSC/CBSE/ISC or its equivalent Exams or in the Birth Certificate or Passport shall be taken for computing the age of the applicants.

Selection Procedure

Applicants will be admitted to MBBS/BDS course, based on the All India Overall Rank merit list of the qualified applicants as prepared by the CBSE on the basis of the marks obtained by them in the National Eligibility-cum Entrance Test NEET (UG)-2017.

All other existing prescribed eligibility criteria for admission to MBBS/BDS degree courses shall be applicable.

How to Apply?

Prospectus and application form are available only in the website www.sriramachandra.edu.in.

Students applying for the MBBS & BDS courses must also submit an Equivalence Certificate from the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi (address: Equivalence Division, Association of Indian Universities, No.16, Comrade Indrajit Gupta Marg, New Delhi-110002, India) www.aiuweb.org.

Downloaded and filled in applications should be sent by air mail speed post/courier only by superscribing “NRI/Foreign Student admission 2017” on the cover and addressed to “The Registrar Sri Ramachandra University”.

Application Fee of Rs.1000/- (by Demand Draft (DD) in favour of Sri Ramachandra University payable at Chennai) to be enclosed along with application form.

Applicant must ensure that mobile numbers, email ID filled in the online Application form are his/her Own as Sri Ramachandra University will make communications by SMS or by e-mail on given mobile number and e-mail ID only.
