DNB Final Examination (Broad Specialty) December 2017
The Diplomate of National Board (DNB) has invited applications from eligible applicants for Final Examination (Broad Specialty) during the admission session December 2017.
National Board of Examination (NBE) shall conduct the DNB Final Examination on 08th and 10th December 2017 in various Specialities.
DNB Broad Specialty Courses: Anaesthesiology; Anatomy; Bio-Chemistry; Dermatology, Venereology & Leprosy; Family Medicine; Field Epidemiology; Forensic Medicine; General Medicine; General Surgery; Health Administration including Hospital Administration; Immuno Hematology & Blood Transfusion; Maternal & Child Health; Microbiology; Nuclear Medicine; Obstetrics & Gynaecology; Ophthalmology; Orthopaedics; Oto-Rhino-Laryngology; Paediatrics; Pathology; Pharmacology; Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation; Physiology; Psychiatry; Radio Diagnosis; Radiotherapy; Rural Surgery; Tuberculosis & Respiratory Diseases/Pulmonary Medicine and Social & Preventive Medicine /Community Medicine.
Eligibility for NATBOARD DNB Final Broad Specialty Exam 2017
DNB training: Applicants who have undergone training as a DNB trainee at any National Board of Examinations accredited institute or any medical college/university recognized Institute after having registered with NBE as a DNB trainee and are completing their prescribed (as per registration letter) training as DNB trainee as per the following schedule:
Submission of Training Completion Certificate along with leave records for DNB trainees is an essential pre-requisite. In case the applicant does not submit the training Completion certificate (as per application format is given in Annexure III & IV) with the application form, his/her application may be rejected and fees forfeited.
MD/MS: Applicants who have passed the final examination leading to the award of Post Graduate Degree from Indian Universities which are duly recognized as per provisions of Indian Medical Council Act 1956 i.e. have passed the final examinations for MD/MS degrees on or before September 30th 2017 can apply for the DNB Final exam in same broad specialty.
Submission of proof of having passed the MD/MS final examination on or before September 30th 2017 is an essential prerequisite. In case the applicant does not submit the requisite proof of passing MD/MS before 30th September 2017, his/ her application shall be rejected & fees forfeited.
Post Diploma: Applicants who are registered with the Board and completing their prescribed training (as per the registration letter) by 30th June 2018 are eligible Submission of Training Completion Certificate along with leave records for DNB trainees is an essential pre-requisite.
Applicants not completing their DNB training at the time of submitting the application are required to submit provisional training completion certificate as per format in Annexure-III along with leave records and also required to submit Annexure-IV within 15 days of completion of their training.
Such applicants shall be provisionally allowed to appear for DNB Examination at the sole discretion of NBE and subject to compliance with eligibility criteria prescribed.

- DNB – Exam Fee – Rs.5500/-; Registration Fee – Nil; Total Fee – Rs.5500/-
- MD/MS Exam Fee – Rs.5500/-; Registration Fee – Rs.1000/-; Total Fee – Rs.6500/-
- 2nd /3rd attempt for only Practical Exam – Rs.5500/-
How to Apply NATBOARD DNB Final Broad Specialty Exam 2017?
The applicant is required to download the Application Form 1 and Application Form 2 from the website www.natboard.edu.in and submit the duly filled Application Forms along with the necessary documents before the prescribed cutoff date i.e. October 13th, 2017.
Enclose photocopies of certificates and Pay-In-Slip (NBE copy) with the Application Form.
The checklists in this information bulletin are to be annexed with the application form to be submitted to the NBE office.
All applicants registered with NBE have to submit self-attested copy of the registration letter registration number issued by NBE with the application form for final examination.
Applicants should go through the bulletin carefully for eligibility criteria before writing to the Board’s Office; queries pertaining to eligibility and other issues will only be entertained if the information requested is not given in bulletin or on website www.natboard.edu.in.

Applicants who have taken DNB Final Exam (Theory) held in June 2017 and have been declared FAIL can submit their application for DNB Final Exam December 2017 session latest by October 15th, 2017
Applicants willing to apply for DNB Final – Only Practical Exam December 2017 session can submit their applications latest by January 31st, 2018
