BAMS BHMS Admission 2017 at Guru Ravidas Ayurved University – Eligibility, Application Form, Age Limit, PAET Exam, Important Dates and more
Guru Ravidas Ayurved University (GRAU) is conducted PAET Entrance Exam for taking admission to Bachelor of Homeopathic Medical Science (BHMS) and Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) Programs offered at various Govt. and Private Colleges affiliated to Guru Ravidas Ayurved University Punjab for 2017 sessions.
Guru Ravidas Ayurved University BAMS BHMS Admission 2017 Eligibility Criteria
For PAET (Common Criteria for all Courses).
i) The applicant should have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English or its equivalent exam and the qualifying exam as an applicant from a recognized institution/University before the time of counseling.
The 10+2 or equivalent exam will be as per details are given below:
a) The higher secondary exam or the Indian School Certificate Exam which is equivalent to 10+2 HSC after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of study comprising of Physics, Chemistry and Biology after the introduction of the 10+2+3 years education structure as recommended by the National Committee on Education; (or).
b) The intermediate exam in Science of an Indian University/Board or other recognized examining body with Physics, Chemistry and Biology which shall include a practical test in these subjects and also English as a compulsory subject; (or).
c) The Pre-professional/pre-medical exam with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, after passing either the Higher Sr. School Exam or the pre-university or an equivalent exam.
d) The first year of the three year degree course of a recognized University with Physics, Chemistry and Biology including a practical test in these subjects provided the exam is a-University Exam and applicant has passed 10+2 with the English at a level not less than a core course; (or).
e) B.Sc. Exam of an Indian University provided that the applicant has passed the B.Sc. Exam with not less than two of the following subjects – Physics, Chemistry & Biology (Botany, Zoology) and further that the applicant has passed the earlier qualifying exam with the following subjects – Physics, Chemistry & Biology, and English; (or).
ii) The applicant should have passed the 10+2 exams with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English or equivalent exams as a to during the Annual Exam held in March/April of the corresponding year, or earlier as an applicant from a recognized institution.
Age Limit: Applicant must have completed the age of 17 years on or before 31 December the corresponding year
Applicant must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks (40% for SC/BC) for BAMS and 40% marks (33% for SC/BC) for BHMS taken together in PCB and also in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) in 10+2 exam.
Guru Ravidas Ayurved University BAMS BHMS Admission 2017 Admission Procedure
For admission to BAMS course, the applicant must have secured at least 40% (33% for SC/BC) in the PAET and for BHMS course, the applicant must have secured at least 33% marks in the test.
Equal Marks in PAET-2017: In the case of two or more applicants securing equal marks in PAET, their inter-se-merit will be determined as under:
(i) Firstly the applicant having a higher percentage of aggregate marks at +2 levels in PCB calculated up to 3 decimal points; (ii) Then the applicant having higher marks in the subject of Biology in qualifying exam i.e. 10+2; (iii) Then the Applicant, older in age.
Admission to Private Institutes
(a) The distribution of seats in private institutions would be (i) Govt. Quota Seats – 50%; (ii) Management/Minority Quota Seats – 50% (including 15% NRI quota).
b) The Govt. quota seats would be filled up, on the basis of PAET merit, by the Admissions Committee appointed by the Govt.
How to Apply?
Applicants will fill online Admission Application Form after the declaration of PAET-2017 result available at University Website, within due date and time and get Printout of filled online Admission Application Form.
This printout along with self-attested copies of certificates must be sent to the office of the University and the same is received on or before July 31st 2017.
Applicants are required to go through the Prospectus carefully and acquaint themselves:
Applicants can apply for PAET-2017 only – Online.
Applicants are advised to read both Part-I and Part-II of the prospectus carefully before filling and submitting the Online Entrance Test Application Form and Online Admission Application Form of PAET-2017.
Fee required with Online Application Form: Rs.4500/- for General Category (Rs.3000/- for SC categories only) be deposited online by using Debit Card or Credit Card through University website i.e. www.graupunjab.org by due date and time.
Fee once deposited in University account will not be refunded/adjusted.
