Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University (SVVU) Tirupati has invited applications from eligible applicants for admission into M.V.Sc and M.Tech (Dairy Technology/Dairy Microbiology) Courses for 2017-18 sessions.

Number of Seats: Applications are invited from the applicants belonging to Andhra Pradesh for 85% seats. The 15% of seats are open for applicants of both Andhra Pradesh and Telengana provided the latter appear for Entrance Test conducted by SVVU; however, applicants from Telangana are not eligible for the stipend.

M.V.Sc and M.Tech Eligibility Criteria for Admission

Applicants seeking admission into Master’s Degree courses must have passed the relevant Bachelor’s Degree examination specified against each course from Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University/ANGR Agricultural University or an institution accredited by ICAR.

M.V.Sc – Qualification: B.V.Sc and AH.

M.Tech – Qualification: B.Tech (Dairying / Dairy Technology B.Sc (Dairy Technology) of 4 years duration offered by an Agricultural University or NDRI.

In the above qualifying examination, the applicants must have secured minimum OGPA of 6.00/10.00 for general category (for SC/ST/PH-5.00/10.00) or 2.50/4.00 for general category (2.00/4.00 in the case of SC/ST/PH) or 60% marks in traditional system (for SC/ST/PH-55%).

Only residents of AP are eligible for admission except in the case of ICAR Quota.

Age Limit: The upper age limit is 40 years as on July 01st 2017.

SVVU Tirupati Admission Selection Criteria 2017

M.V.Sc/M.Tech (Dairy Technology/Dairy Microbiology)

The selection of the applicants shall be based on the previous academic record i.e. B.F.Sc/B.Tech (Dairy) (30%) and performance in PG Entrance Exam (70%).

The entrance test shall be a comprehensive one, covering all relevant subjects prescribed for the degree requirements of this University as per ICAR guidelines.

The Entrance Exam Paper contains only 200 multiple choice questions. The applicants have to mark answers by darkening circles on OMR sheet. The applicants getting 40% or more marks in entrance test only are eligible.

However, in the case of SC/ST/PH applicants, there are no minimum qualifying marks and applicants are admitted to the extent of seats reserved for them.

SC/ST/PH Applicants claiming seats under general category have to obtain at least 40% marks in the entrance test.

SVVU Tirupati Admission Process

Information about the qualified applicants in entrance test will be displayed on University website www.svvu.edu.in.

The applications shall be downloaded from www.svvu.edu.in. The downloaded and duly filled in application along with attested copies of required certificates and  copy of the counterfoil of  Registration fee paid Rs.1000/-; Rs.500/- in case of SC/ST/PH through online preferably in Andhra Bank/any Nationalized Bank  favoring Comptroller, SVVU, Payable at Andhra Bank, Thummalagunta Branch, Tirupati Account No.: 209810100016530, IFSc Code: ANDB0002098   having UTR No. / Transaction ID should reach the Registrar, SVVU, Administrative Office, Dr.YSR Bhavan, Tirupati-517502 on or before 15th November 2017 by 04.00 pm either in person or by Registered Post with Acknowledgement due.

Application received after this due date will summarily be rejected. Applicants who are in employment should send their applications through proper channel. The University is not responsible for any postal delay.
