The State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad will conduct Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (POLYCET) for the applicants seeking admission in to all Diploma Courses in Engineering and Non Engineering / Technology offered at Polytechnics / Institutions (including Aided and Unaided Private Polytechnics / Institutions running as 2nd shift in Pvt. Engineering Colleges) in Andhra Pradesh State for the academic year 2018.
SBTET Polytechnic Diploma Course Eligibility Criteria
Applicants who have passed SSC or its equivalent & recognized by the Board of Secondary Education, A.P., Hyderabad are eligible.
The applicants who have compartmentally passed or appearing for SSC are also eligible to apply; however, they must have passed in all the subjects before seeking admission.
The detailed information regarding eligibility, age, and syllabi etc. are given in the “POLYCET-2018 Instructions Booklet” which will be supplied along with the application form and is available for sale at a cost of Rs.20/- (Rupees twenty only) at all Govt Polytechnics, Private Polytechnics and A.P. Online Centers.

How to Apply – SBTET Polytechnic CET 2018?
State Board of Technical Education & Training, AP, Hyderabad has made arrangements to file online applications at various AP online / Helpline centers / through the payment gateway.
The detailed list of these centers is available at http://sbtetap.gov.in
In order to file the application through these centers, a filing fee of Rs.330/- (Rupees three hundred and thirty only) (Excluding Application Cost) has to be paid to the operator by the applicant.
The detailed procedure of filling up of the application form is available in the instructions booklet supplied along with the Application Form.
Applicants are advised to read these instructions carefully before filling-up the Application duly filled in the application form is to be given to the Operator for filing Online.
AP Polytechnic Exam Pattern 2018
The AP POLYCET 2018 entrance exam will be held on April 27th, 2018 (Tentative).
The duration of the examination will be 2 hours. The question paper will consist of 120 objective type questions. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
For the correct response, 1 mark will be awarded. The question paper consists of questions based on the class 10th level, the question will be asked form Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry.
The minimum marks for declaring a candidate to have passed in the Entrance Exam shall be thirty percent i.e., 36 marks out of 120.
Subjects – Mathematics – 60 Questions; Physics – 30 Questions & Chemistry – 30 Questions.
AP POLYCET Syllabus 2018
The entrance exam will test the knowledge of the candidate in different subjects. The syllabus of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry for POLYCET 2018 is the same as that of SSC Exam of March/April 2018 conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Andhra Pradesh.
The question paper for CET for admission into polytechnics consists of 120 questions.
Section-A: 01 to 60 for Mathematics.
Section-B: 61 to 90 for Physics.
Section-C: 91 to 120 for Chemistry.
All questions are of multiple-choice type. Each question will have a stem and four answers noted against as 1, 2, 3 and 4.
