KEA Bangalore Diploma CET 2017 | KEA DCET 2017 Application Dates

Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) Bangalore has invited applications for Karnataka Diploma Common Entrance Test (DCET) 2017 for admission to 2nd year/3rd semester in Engineering and 1st year Architecture Courses for 2017 sessions.

Eligibility Criteria

For B.E Courses (Day Engineering College): Applicant who has passed any Diploma Exam or Equivalent Exam and obtained an aggregate minimum of 45% marks taken together in all the subjects of the final-year (5th & 6th sixth Semester) Diploma Exam (QE) is eligible (40% of marks in Q.E in case of SC/ST & OBC of Karnataka applicants).

For B.E Courses (Evening Engineering College): A applicant who has passed any Diploma Exam or equivalent exam and obtained an aggregate minimum of 45% marks taken together in all the subjects of the final year (5th & 6th semester) Diploma Exam (QE) is eligible (40% of marks in QE in case of SC/ST & OBC of Karnataka applicants).

For B.Arch Course (Only in Day Engineering College): A applicant who has passed any diploma exam or equivalent exam and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects of the final year (5th & 6th semester) Diploma Exam (Q.E) is eligible; and 45% of marks in Q.E in case of SC/ST & OBC of Karnataka applicants along with 40% marks in National Aptitude Test for Architecture (NATA) conducted by Council of Architecture

Exam Pattern

The Diploma CET 2017 will be held in one session, conducted for 180 marks with 3 hours (180 minutes) duration. Additional 25 minutes will be given for filling Name, Admission Ticket No. Version Code and Serial Number in the OMR Answer Sheet and Question Booklet.

The question paper will be of (objective) multiple-choice type; the question paper will be in different versions. Each question will have for different options. Each question will carry 1 (one) mark.

Duration of the Test: 3 Hours.

Subject

Applied Science – 40 (Common for all the Engineering group codes).

Applied Mathematics – 40 (Common for all the Engineering group codes).

Engineering (All Courses) – 100 (Refer engineering subjects and corresponding group code in brochure).

Total – 180 Objective type multiple choice questions.

How to Apply for KEA DCET 2017?

Filling up the application and submitting it with requisite fees is the first step to taken by applicant. The Application Fee is Rs.650/- for General and OBC applicants, and Rs.500/- for SC/ST Category-I.

The applicants have to enter and submit their details in the prescribed application form through online only. Detailed instructions/ information are given in KEA website http://kea.kar.nic.in

Step 1: Enter all the details ONLINE by browsing URL on web http://kea.kar.nic.in by selecting “Diploma GET-2016”.

After completion of entry of all the details, applicants will receive an application ID and Password to their registered e-mail address and also the same information will be displayed on the screen.

Step 2: Upload the scanned copy of recent passport size Colour Photo and Signature in JPG format separately.

Step 3: Download and Print the Challan copy which is in triplicate. Applicants of Karnataka origin have to pay an amount of Rs.650/- for General and OBC (Rs.500/- for SC / ST Category-1).

The applicants have to pay the requisite fee in any of the branch of State Bank of Mysore along with the downloaded challan. The bank will retain bank copy of the Challan and handover the remaining two copies of the Challan to the applicants.

Step 4: Take a printout of the application form on A-4 Size paper. Affix applicant’s recent Passport size Photo, Signature, Left Hand Thumb Impression on the space provided in the printed application form.

No change in any information entered by the applicants will be entertained.

Last Date to Enter Application details online Up to 5:30 pm on June 01st 2017

Last date to pay the fees in the bank: June 02nd 2017 (Banking Hours)

Downloading of Admission Tickets on or after June 20th 2017

Date of Entrance Exam: July 02nd 2017
