Dibrugarh University CEE 2016 for MBBS BDS BE B.Tech Program

Dibrugarh University has invited application for Combined Entrance Exam for admission to MBBS BDS B.E. and B.Tech program for 2016 sessions in the Colleges of the State of Assam.

Exam Schedule

The Examination will be held on 14th and 15th May 2016

Physics & Chemistry: 14th May 2016 (Saturday, for Physics 10.30 am – 12.30 pm & Chemistry 02.00 pm – 04.00 pm)

Biology & Mathematics: 15th May 2016 (Sunday, Biology 10.30 am – 12.30 pm & Mathematics 02.00 pm – 04.00 pm)

Exam Centers: i) Silchar ii) Bongaigaon iii) Nalbari iv) Lakhimpur v) Guwahati vi) Tezpur vii) Nagaon viii) Jorhat ix) Dibrugarh.

Eligibility Criteria

Conditions for admission and eligibility for appearing in the Combined Entrance Exam.

Subject to the provisions of Rule 5 of Admission Rule, 2007 all applicants seeking admission into the MBBS course in any of the medical colleges of Assam and BDS course in the Regional Dental College, Guwahati shall have to appear in the Combined Entrance Exam.

No applicant shall be eligible for appearing in the CEE and admission into any of the courses unless he/she:

(a) is a citizen of India; (b) is a permanent resident of Assam; Provided that nothing contained in this clause shall be applicable to the sons and daughters of the employees of the Govt. of Assam; (c) unless he/she has completed minimum of 4 years schooling either at.

(i) HSLC or equivalent stage or

(ii) HSLC and HSSLC or equivalent stages combined from the recognized schools conducting regular classes situated within the State of Assam.

Provided if the applicant has not done 4-year of schooling in the State then their Father or Mother must have completed his/her schooling in the State of Assam for a minimum period 4 years in the School level inclusive of Primary/ME/HSLC and they are to furnish the required certificate, in order for their son/daughter to be eligible to appear in the Combined Entrance Exam for any of the courses.

Those applicants who have passed HSLC/HSSLC or equivalent exam from Assam shall attach mark sheets and pass certificates with Form B.

The applicants must pass the qualifying exam without any grace marks in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually in the same sitting and must have obtained a minimum of 60% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the qualifying exam in case of applicants belonging to the general category.

Applicant belonging to General Category has to secure at least 50% Marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in CEE and the applicant belonging to SC/ST/OBC/MOBC category have to obtain at least 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in the Combined Entrance Exam.

Applicant’s age should not be below 21 years and above 17 years of age on the August 2016. Upper age limit mentioned in (d) above is relaxed to 22 years in case of B.Sc passed Applicants. Upper age limit mentioned in (d) above is relaxed by 3 years in case of applicants belonging to the SC/ST/OBC & MOBC.

Exam Pattern for Combined Entrance Exam

Each paper shall be of 2 (two) hours duration and shall contain 100 multiple choice questions each carrying one mark. Total marks for each paper shall be 100.

There shall be no negative marking for wrong answers. There shall be no marks in case the applicants select more than one option in the answer sheet. Option once marked can’t be changed and erased.

Fee Structure

MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS Courses only Rs.1240/-.

Engineering Degree Courses only Rs.1240/-.

Both MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS and Engineering Courses Rs.1540/-.

After submitting Online Application Form, applicants have to take printout of e- Challan and Deposit requisite fee in any branch of the State Bank of India from Second Working Day onwards, from the day of submission of online application form and obtain their copy of Challan showing Journal ID / Transaction ID.

How to Apply?

Eligible applicants can apply through the Dibrugarh University Assam website www.dibru.ac.in

Application fees are to be submitted via bank challan, which will also be available on the University website (www.dibru.ac.in)

After submitting CEE Online Application form, the applicant has to take a print out of challan (generated automatically after submission of Online Application form) and deposit the prescribed amount of fee in any branch of the State Bank of India from second working day onwards from the day of submission of Online Application form. The applicant should keep his/her copy of challan after depositing requisite fee.
