Joint Lateral Entrance Examination 2017 for lateral admission into 3rd Semester Class of B.E. Course 2017 of Assam Engineering College, Guwahati; Jorhat Engineering College, Jorhat; Jorhat Institute of Science & Technology, Jorhat and Bineswar Brahma Engineering College, Kokrajhar.

Assam JLEE Eligibility Criteria 2017

Recognized Diploma of Minimum 3years duration from Polytechnic Institutions of Assam under State Council of Technical Education (SCTE).

A minimum of 45 percent marks (40 percent for SC/ST) must be scored in the Qualifying Polytechnic Examination.

Applicant must be a Permanent resident of Assam.

Applicants appearing in their final examination may also apply but they must have to produce their Original Mark sheet along with Pass Certificate of the Final Diploma on the day of Admission.

Age Limit for Assam JLEE 2017

Applicants applying for Assam JLEE 2017 must not be less than 17years and not exceed 21 years of age.

Online Application: April 25th 2017 to May 25th 2017

Last date of receipt of completed application form with demand draft at DTE office: May 30th 2017

Issue of admit card: June 10th 2017

Admission Examination: June 25th 2017

Assam JLEE Selectoin Procedure 2017

There will be Joint Admission Examination for Selection consisting of a Single Paper of 3hours duration which will consist of the following Sections:

  • Mathematics (10+2) level: 30 Questions
  • Basic Computer: 10 Questions
  • Graphics: 10 Questions
  • Branch of Engineering: 50 Questions

All the questions in each part will be MCQ type. Every Question will carry 4 (Four) marks each. 4 (Four) marks will be awarded for correct answer and 1 (one) mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

The Common Admission Exam will be held on June 25th 2017.

Applicants will be selected from merit list prepared on the basis of total marks scored in the admission test.

Examination Fee

Examination Fee for JLEE 2017 will be Rs.1000/- (One thousand only) which will have to deposited through Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favour of “The Director, Technical Education, Assam” payable at State bank of India, Kahilipara Branch, Guwahati.

Assam JLEE 2017 Application Form

Applicant seeking admission to the Examination (JLEE 2017) must apply online at this website

Before applying Online, Applicants are advised to go through the instructions.

Applicants are advised in their own interest to apply online much before the closing date and not to wait till the last date to avoid the possibility of disconnection/inability/failure to log on to the website.

Before applying Online, applicants must have a bank draft of Rs.1000/- drawn in favour of “The Director, Technical Education”, Assam payable at State bank of India, Kahilipara Branch, Guwahati.

Information regarding bank draft will be required at the time of filling the online application form; before applying Online, the Applicants must possess the scanned passport size photograph and signature in JPEG format with file size of less than 100 kb.

Applicants are advised to furnish correct information in the Application Form; Applicants must fill the application carefully, once the application is filled in completely, Applicant are to click the Submit button. No change/edit will be allowed after submission of the Online Form.

No change of Centre of Examination will be allowed under any circumstance. Hence, the Applicants must select the centres carefully and indicate the same correctly in their application.

When the data is saved, an application number will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen. Applicant must note down the application number and print their application form. In case the Applicant is unable to print at the time of submission, he/she can also print it later by logging in to their account with application number and date of birth; the same method will be used to print the Admit Card when issued i.e. June 10th 2017 onwards.

After registering online applicants have to take a Print-out of the system generated online application form; the hard copy of the application form duly signed by the Applicant along with the demand draft should reach on or before May 30th 2017 through Speed-Post to “The Directorate of Technical Education, Kahilipara, Guwahati – 781019”.

The envelope containing the Application Form must be superscibed “Joint Lateral Entrance Examination JLEE 2017” with your application number.
