Andhra Pradesh PG Engineering Common Entrance Test (PGECET) 2017 conducted by JNTU, Kakinada on behalf of AP State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE), and a Statutory Body of the Govt. of AP for Regular PG Courses in Engineering, Technology, Pharmacy (M.E./M.Tech./M.Pharmacy), Graduate Level Pharm.D (Post Baccalaureate) for 2017 sessions.

Courses Offered

M.Tech Computer Science (Specialization – Digital Image Processing): B.Tech, ECE/CSE/ M.Sc Stat/ Maths/MCA or equivalent with GATE/GPAT Exam (CS)/AAPGECET Exam (CS).

Specialization – Computer Science: B.Tech (All Branches) M.Sc Maths/Statistics/Physics /Electronics/ Computer Science) MCA with GATE/GPAT Exam (CS)/AAPGECET Exam (CS).

Specialization – Communication Engineering & Signal Processing Systems: B.Tech-ECE, B.Tech-EIE or equivalent with GATE/GPAT Exam (EC)/AAPGECET Exam (EC, EI).

M.Tech Bio-Technolgy (Specialization – Bio-Technology): B.Tech (Bio-Technology/Chemical Engg/Food Technology/Agriculture Engg) B.Pharmacy, B.Sc (Agriculture/Veterinary Sci) BHMS, & M.Sc in Botony, Zoology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Environmental Sci., Genetics, Life Sciences, Food Tech., Nutrition, Molecular Biology, Genetic Engg, Immunology & Chemistry.

M.Pharmacy (Specialization – Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Analysis & Pharmaceutics): B.Pharmacy with GPAT or PY.

Eligibility Criteria for AP PGECET

The eligibility criteria for AP PGECET 2017 is described separately for each discipline and course; it is mandatory for the applicant to determine his/her eligibility before applying.

Applicants must be Indian Nationals.

Applicants must also be from Andhra Pradesh and must meet the domicile guidelines.

They must have passed BE/B.Tech/AMIE in the respective disciplines with a minimum of 50% marks (45% in case applicant belonging to reserved category).

Applicants who have completed their masters like M.Sc have to check the eligibility criteria specified by the individual university to check their eligibility.

Applicants who have valid GATE scores are exempt from the entrance exam and have to apply separately.

Exam Centres: The exam will be held in centres in the cities of Visakhapatnam, Kakinada, Guntur, Tirupathi and Anantapuram.

Admit Card: Download the AP PGECET Hall Ticket 2017 from 19th to 21st May 2017 from the official website by entering your valid registration ID (received during filling of the application form), DOB and registered mobile number.

How to Apply?

The Application Form of AP PGECET 2017 is available online only. No offline facility will be provided to the applicants to apply.

The application form is available from March 03rd 2017 and the notifications has issued from March 03rd 2017. Only the applicants secured 50 % (GEN/OBC) and 45% (SC/ST) are eligible to appear in the test.

Application Fee

Applicants have to pay the fee of Rs.800/- for unreserved category applicants and Rs.400/- for reserved category applicants; the applicants can apply for more than one postgraduate exam under AP PGECET, but they have to pay separate application fee for each exam.

Interested applicants can pay the application fee through credit/debit card or also pay the fee at AP online centre.

Payment Procedure

AP Online

Visit any of the AP Online centers with the following mandatory details:

(a) Name of the Applicant (b) Father Name (c) Date of Birth of the Applicant (d) Hall Ticket No. of  SSC (10th Class) & Month/year of passing (e) Mobile No. & (f) Tests & Papers opted for Exam.

Pay the requisite fee, obtain a receipt for Registration fee paid, and ensure that it contains a Transaction Id.

Logon to www.appgecet.org using the “Transaction Id” given above.

Debit /Credit Card

If you choose to make payment using Debit/Credit card mode, go through the Instruction booklet / User Guide carefully and be ready with ALL the required mandatory details. After entering the details above, Click on the “Make Payment” Button.
