University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) has invited application for admission to Law Programs (UL-SAT) offered in various disciplines for the commencing session 2018.

UPES Law Studies Aptitude Test (UL-SAT) / Board Merit / CLAT Merit / L-SAT India Merit followed by Group Discussion & Interview.

Programs and Eligibility Criteria

For BA LL.B (Hons.) with emphasis on Energy Laws, BBA LL.B (Hons.) with emphasis on Corporate Laws and B.Com LLB (Hons) with emphasis on Taxation Laws

Eligibility Criteria: Minimum 50 percent Marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (10th & 12th)

Admission Criteria: UPES Online Law Studies Aptitude Test (UL-SAT) / Board Merit / CLAT Merit/ L-SAT India Merit followed by Group Discussion & Interview.

B.Tech. Energy Technology + LLB (Hons.) with specialization in Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and B. Tech. Computer Science & Engineering + LLB (Hons.) with specialization in Cyber Laws

Eligibility Criteria:

(1) Minimum 50 percent marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (10th & 12th).

(2) Minimum 50 percent aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics at Senior Secondary level.

Admission Criteria: UPES Engineering Aptitude Test (UPESEAT) followed by Centralized Counseling

LLM with specialization in Energy Laws

Eligibility Criteria: Minimum 50 percent Marks at Higher & Secondary Level (10th & 12th) and LLB Degree.

Admission Criteria: Entrance test followed by Interview.

LLM with specialization in International Law

Eligibility Criteria: Min.50 percent Marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (10th & 12th) and LLB (3 years) / 5yr Integrated LLB programme.

Admission Criteria: Entrance test followed by Interview

ULSAT 2018 Age Criteria

Only applicants whose date of birth falls on or after October 1, 1998 are eligible to apply for admission. Date of Birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board / University certificate only will be taken as authentic.

Upto 20 percent seats shall be filled through Board Merit / CLAT / L-SAT India Category. In case, any seat remaining vacant UPES has the right to fill such seats through UPES Entrance Exam.

Non-Examination Pathway – LAW Programs through Board Merit/ CLAT Merit/ L-SAT India Merit

CLAT Merit / L-SAT India Merit

For BA LLB (Hons.)/ BBA LLB (Hons.) / B.Com, LLB (Hons): Applicants with minimum 50 percent Marks in Higher & Senior Secondary (10th & 12th) and CLAT ranking upto 5000/ L-SAT India score of 60 percentile or above will be exempted from UPES Law Studies Aptitude test and will be invited directly for GD and Interview.

For B. Tech+ LLB (Hons.): Applicants with minimum 60 percent Marks in Higher & Senior Secondary (10th & 12th), minimum 60 percent Marks in PCM at Senior Secondary Level (12th) and CLAT ranking upto 5000/ L-SAT India score of 60 percentile or above will be exempted from UPES-EAT and admissions through Merit Ranking.

Board Merit

For BA LLB (Hons.)/ BBA LLB (Hons.)/B.Com LLB (Hons): Applicants with 85 percent marks in 10th and 12th best of five subjects (English as one of the compulsory paper) are exempted from UPES Law Studies Aptitude Test (UL-SAT) and will be invited directly for GD and Interview.

For B.Tech+ LLB (Hons.): Applicants with minimum 80 percent marks in 10th, 12th and 12th PCM (Physics, Chemistry & Maths) are exempted from UPES-EAT and admissions will be through Merit Ranking.

Online Test Process for UPES Law Studies Aptitude Test 2018

Applicants will appear for the ONLINE test by logging in with their credentials from their computer connected with a webcam and an internet connection. Applicants have the convenience to appear for the test from their home, office or internet cafe.

Note: University reserves the right to change the Test Date or cancel the Test.
