HPU Shimla Entrance Exam 2018 for BAMS BHMS Admissions

HPU Shimla BAMS BHMS Admission 2018: An All India Combined Entrance Test for admission to BAMS and BHMS Courses in RG Govt. PG Ayurvedic College, Paprola, (Kangra) and Solan Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital (Pvt.), Kumarhati, (Solan) H.P. respectively will be held on August 2018 at Dharamshala, Hamirpur, Mandi and Shimla Examination Centres.

Duration of Course: 5½ years including one-year compulsory rotatory internship.

Number of Seats

In BAMS Course, 41 seats out of total 50 seats will be filled up from eligible Bonafide Himachali Applicants under:

Group-I: Two seats are reserved for Govt. of India Nominees (Allocated to the state of J&K) under.

Group-II: Out of Remaining seven seats under Group-III, one seat shall be reserved for Malaysian Nationals and one for ICCR sponsored Applicant. Remaining five seats under Group-III shall be filled up on All India Basis in which Bonafide Himachali who have applied under Group-I shall also be considered.

ii) In BHMS Course, 47 seats out of total 75 seats will be filled up under State Quota and be remaining 28 seats under Management Quota Seats

Eligibility for HPU Shimla BAMS BHMS Courses Admission 2018

Educational Qualification for BAMS Courses: Applicants should have passed/appeared in any one of the qualifying exam at the time of applying for the entrance test:

10+2 new Course Examination of a University/Board estd by law in India, or an equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects which shall include a practical test in Science subjects with 50 percent marks in aggregate (40 percent marks for SC/ST/OBC) and has also qualified the subject of English (or)

The B.Sc Degree with 50 percent marks (40 percent marks for SC/ST/OBC) of a University estd by law in India with any three subjects out of Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Physiology, Physics, Human Anatomy and Bio-Chemistry; provided that such an Applicant must have passed the Pre-Medical or an equivalent exam with English as compulsory subject of Board/University estd by law in India.

Any examination of a University/Board/College or School in a foreign country, recognized as equivalent for the purpose by the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi.

Applicants will be admitted to the BAMS/BHMS Courses strictly on the basis of merit provided he/she has secured at least 40 percent marks in the Entrance Test in the case of SC/ST/OBC and at least 50 percent marks in the case of other categories.

The Applicant must have already completed or should complete the age of 17 years and must not have completed 25 years of age on 31st December 2018 of the year of the concerned competitive exam.

Educational Qualification for BHMS Course: The Applicant should have passed 10+2 from H.P. Board of School Education or from a recognized Board or equivalent degree/examination passed with Science (Medical group with Physics, Chemistry & Biology) of the University/H.P. Board of School Education in Science subjects.

Applicants must have attained the age of 17 years on or before 31st December 2018 of the year of admission to the first Prof. of the course.

Procedure for Obtaining HPU BAMS BHMS Programs 2018 Prospectus:

All the applicants are advised to read the Prospectus for BAMS/BHMS Entrance Exam 2018 carefully before filling up the online Application Form which is available on H.P. University Website www.hpuniv.in in pdf format and also ensure that he/she is eligible in terms of the conditions/provisions mentioned in the Prospectus.

The copy of the Prospectus may also be downloaded from the said website for ready reference. Please read these instructions carefully before proceeding with the online filling of BAMS/BHMS Entrance Test Application Form 2018.

Payment Mode of Entrance Test Fee: Rs.1600/- (Rupees Sixteen hundred only) in case of General and Other Categories and Rs.800/- (Rupees eight hundred only) in case of SC/ST Categories is required to be paid by the Applicants at any Branch of State Bank of India by computer-generated Challans / Net Banking or through Credit / Debit Cards of any Bank.

The Computer generated confirmation copy of Application Form with a separate photograph pasted on it duly attested by the Gazetted Officer and having signatures of the Applicant and parents along with fee receipt must reach in the office of the Deputy Registrar (Ent. Tests), Room No.10, (Ground Floor) Administrative Block, Summer Hill, Shimla-5.

All disputes are subject to the legal jurisdiction of courts in Shimla only
