Bharati Vidyapeeth University PG Medical Entrance Test 2016
Bharati Vidyapeeth University Pune which is a deemed university, has invited applications for Common All India Entrance Test for the admission to MD/MS/Diploma Courses for 2016 session.
Duration: There will be a common All India Entrance Test for Admission to Medical College, Pune & Medical College, Sangli for MD/MS Course of three years duration and Diploma Course of two years duration.

Eligibility Criteria to appear for MEDPET-2016
The applicant must be an Indian National.
Foreign/NRI/PIO/OCI applicants seeking admission to the PG Programs will have to obtain registration from the MCI. Any applicant who has obtained, MBBS Degree from any recognised Medical College in India under NRI Category will not be considered under regular category for PG even if he possesses recognised MBBS degree from an Indian University.
Any Indian applicant who has completed MBBS degree from outside India from a University recognised by Medical Council of India must possess a permanent registration certificate from MCI or from a State Medical Council in India.
Admission to Post Graduate Medical courses the applicant must secure minimum 50% marks and applicant belonging to SC/ST category minimum 40% marks in the MEDPET-2016.
The applicant must have passed MBBS exam from any Medical College recognised by the Medical Council of India.
The applicants should have completed the compulsory rotating internship on or before 30th April 2016 from MCI recognised College/Hospital situated in India.
The Admissions to M.D/M.S and Diploma courses to Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University Medical College, Pune and Sangli will be made on the basis of merit obtained by the applicant in medical post graduate entrance test i.e. MEDPET-2016.
For Admission to Post Graduate Medical courses, the applicants must secure minimum 50% marks and applicants belonging to SC/ST category minimum 40% marks in the MEDPET-2016.
In case of applicants having equal marks in MEDPET-2016 the following procedure shall be adopted as a tie-breaker.
First preference to the applicants on the basis of higher marks obtained in the III MBBS exam.
In case of equal marks in the (1) above, preference will be decided on grand total of marks secured by the applicant at I, II and III MBBS exams.
If equal, preference shall be decided on the basis of total marks obtained by the applicant at the XII Std. Exam in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects taken together.
If equal, preference shall be decided on the basis of total marks obtained by the applicant in the X Std. exam.
MEDPET 2016 Exam Pattern
MEDPET-2016 will be conducted at the centers in Pune, New Delhi, Navi Mumbai, Sangli, Hyderabad and Vadodara.
The question paper will contain 200 multiple choice questions of, one best choice type, out of four choices; the questions will be on the syllabi prescribed for the I, II and III MBBS exams, with more weightage given to clinical subjects.
Each correct answer will get one mark; there will be no negative marking and no marks will be deducted for unanswered questions.
How to Apply – BVU PG Medical Entrance Test 2016?
Applicant desirous of applying for MEDPET-2016, is required to complete the prescribed form appended at the end of this brochure.
Application form must reach Registrar, Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, CET Centre, 2nd Floor, Bharati Vidyapeeth Bhavan, LBS Marg, Pune-411030.
All applicants are required to enclose the attested photocopies of the following documents duly attested by Principal/Gazetted Officer along with the form; statement of marks of I, II and III MBBS exams; if the applicant is employed, he should submit ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the employer; statement of marks of 10+2 or equivalent exam and SSC certificate; certificate from the Dean/Principal of the Medical College of the applicant stating, that the College is recognised by the Medical Council of India.

Last date for submitting filled-in Application Forms to BVDU, Pune on November 27th 2015 (05.00 pm)
Issue of duplicate admission cards to those applicants on December 02nd 2015 (10.00 a.m. respective centre)
Date and time of Common Entrance Test on December 03rd 2015 (11.00 am to 02.00 pm)
Commencement of Course on May 02nd 2016
