ACET Exam 2017 Notification | ACET Registration 2017 | Actuarial Common Entrance Test 2017
Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) Mumbai has invited applications for the Actuarial Common Entrance Test (ACET) for 2017 sessions.
Eligibility Criteria for ACET 2017
Students who have appeared or passed the 10+2 examination or an equivalent examination with English as one of the subjects at 10+2 level at the time of registering for ACET (Not only science students).
Nevertheless, it is expected that many of those who are already in education at higher levels and also those working and having qualifications in mathematical subjects would take up the examinations.
ACET Exam Pattern 2017
The exam will have multiple-choice questions with one correct answer for each question. The exam will be conducted online at a pre-selected test center at a specified time.
The exam will be a three hour, 100 marks online exam that will have 70 multiple-choice questions with one correct answer for each question.
The questions for Section-I i.e. Mathematics, Statistics and Data Interpretation will contain 55% of weightage and Section-II i.e. English and Logical Reasoning will contains 45% of weightage.
The total distribution of questions would be:
- 45 questions – 1 mark each
- 20 questions – 2 marks each
- 05 questions – 3 marks each
After successful registration, students will be able to download the sample question paper for the examination. However, the names of the reference books will be provided to the students.
The syllabus will include the questions for:
- Section-I Mathematics, Statistics and Data Interpretation having 55% of weightage.
- Section-II English and Logical Reasoning having 45% of weightage.
- ACET will now be conducted in 27 exam centres in India.
- ACET will be conducted in a single day with one slot.
- There would be negative marking for incorrect answers. The incorrect answer will deduct half of the weight age of marks.

On filling up the Online Registration Form, you will receive a confirmation email at your registered email id giving you the link to proceed further by giving other details, uploading your photograph and making payment of registration fees by Debit or Credit Card or Internet Banking.
After successful registration, you will be able to download the study material from your login download tab using the same id and password you had used for online ACET registration.
Kindly take a printout of your ACET Online Registration Form, since you have to submit it at the time of taking admission with the institute.
ACET Registration Fee 2017
ACET – The registration fee for the entrance exam is Rs.3000/- (three thousand only). This covers the cost of the Welcome Kit inclusive of one Sample Paper and Online Exam.
The registration fee once paid is neither refundable nor can it be carried forward for the next ACET.
