B.Ed Eligibility 2018
Applicants must have passed the UG degree examination in the 10+2+3 stream or 11+1+3; Applicants who have direct UG Degree without +2 qualification/post-graduate degree without a UG degree are not eligible.
PG Degree (5 years Integrated Course) under 10+2+5 or 11+1+5 pattern shall be considered for admission, but the marks obtained by the Applicant in the first three years (major and allied) only taken into account for admission to the B.Ed Degree Course.
The Applicants qualified in PG Degree and secured 50 percent of marks with the same major subjects in UG Degree, but not fulfilling the minimum percentage of marks required in UG Degree as per community/category-wise will be eligible to apply.
The Applicants who have the following degrees also eligible.
UG (Tamil, English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, History, Geography, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Applied Physics, Geo-Physics, Bio-Physics, Electronics, Bio-Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Plant-Biology, Plant Biotechnology, Environmental Science, Micro-Biology, Applied Geography, Information Technology, Computer Application).
PG (Economics, Commerce, Home Science, Political Sciences, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy, Logic and Indian Culture with 50 percent of marks (irrespective of their UG marks).
Minimum Marks: OC – 50 percent, BC/BCM – 45 percent, MBC/DNC – 43 percent, SC/ST/SCA – 40 percent.
Duration of the Program: B.Ed SE Programme (Distance Mode) is of 2 years.
The medium of Instruction: The medium of instruction for B.Ed SE (Distance Mode) is Tamil and English.
Intake: In B.Ed SE the total strength of seats for admission is 500; 40 seats are allotted for each programme study center.
The Program fee is Rs.32,000/- for the entire program of two years; the total fee is to be paid at the time of admission in the form of DD drawn in favor of Tamil Nadu Open University, payable at Chennai.
Registration Fee – Rs.500/-; Postal Fee – Rs.200/-; Tuition Fee – Rs.5300/-; Practical Fee – Rs.5000/-; Total Fee – Rs.16,000/- (Note: Fee once paid is not refundable).
Selection for admission into B.Ed SE and allotment of Study Centres will be made based on the UG marks obtained by them, and other preference criteria through Admission Counselling given in Prospectus.
B.Ed Special Education Application Form 2018
The application form can be obtained either in-person or by post.
In-Person: The Application form and Prospectus can be directly obtained in-person either form the University office or Zonal Centre or from the Special Education Programme Study Centres, by way of Cash or Demand Draft (DD) for Rs.500/- drawn in favour of Tamil Nadu University, payable at Chennai.
By Post: Those who wish to obtain the Application form and Prospectus by post should send a Demand Draft (DD) for Rs.550/- drawn in favour of Tamil Nadu Open University, payable at Chennai.
