Mid-Year Phd Admissions 2015 in Raman Research Institute Bengaluru

Raman Research Institute (RRI) Bangaluru has invited applications for mid-year admission to the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program in Physics and Chemistry offered in various research areas for 2015 session.

Eligibility Criteria for Raman Research Institute Bengaluru Phd Admission

Applicants seeking admission in Physics must have M.Sc degree in Physics/Mathematics with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent or first class B.E./B.Tech degree in Engineering.

Students who will complete their qualifying degree by the end of the calendar year 2015 may apply, provided they can produce their final score card at the time of admission.

Selection Procedure for RRI Bengaluru Phd Admission

Applicants seeking admission will be called for an interview based on performance in the Joint Entrance Screening Test 2015 (JEST 2015) or UGC/CSIR-NET for JRF (Physics) or in subject GRE (Physics) or sufficiently high score in GATE. Please note that in GATE, the streams that are acceptable for interviews to different groups at RRI are:

  • SCM: Physics, ECE, Chemical Engg., EE, Materials Science, Metallurgy
  • A&A: Physics, ECE, Mech. Engg, EE, CSE
  • LAMP: Physics, ECE
