National Power Training Institute (NPTI) Faridabad has invited application for admission to one year modular course Post Graduate Diploma Course (PGDC) in (1) Power Plant Engineering (22nd Batch), (2) Smart Grid Technologies, (3) Power System Operation, (4) Energy Market Management, (5) Renewable Energy & Grid Interface Technologies for 2017-18 sessions.

Why should you Join?

With a view to build adequate technical capacity and develop economically viable Energy sector and energy efficient systems and compliance of laudable objectives of the Govt. of India, adequate scientific and technical manpower at all levels is a pre-requisite.

The main aim of the courses is to create a pool of technically trained manpower readily available for recruitment to the State, Central and Private Power Utilities and allied Industries.

NTPI PGDC Admission Eligibility Criteria 2017

(1) Power Plant Engineering: B. Tech. / B.E. or its equivalent with minimum 60% marks in Mechanical/ Electrical /Electrical & Electronics/Power Engineering and related branches.

(2) Smart Grid Technologies: B. Tech. / B.E. or its equivalent with minimum 60% marks in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics /Electronics & Communication /Computer Science/ Information & Communication Technology and related branches.

(3) Power System Operation: B. Tech. / B.E. or its equivalent with minimum 60% marks in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics/Power Engineering and related branches.

(4) Energy Market Mgt.: B. Tech. / B.E. or its equivalent with minimum 60% marks in Electrical /Electrical & Electronics / Power Engineering and related branches.

(5) Renewable Energy & Grid Interface Technologies: B. Tech. / B.E. or its equivalent with minimum 60% marks in Electrical /Electrical & Electronics /Power Engineering and related branches.

Those appearing in their final year examination can also apply. However, they must submit their final degree/provisional degree certificate at the time of counseling.

Age Limit: There is no age limit for pursuing the course.

NTPI PGDC Admission Selection Criteria 2017

Merit based on Common Entrance Test (CET-2017) result followed by counseling at NPTI (CO), Faridabad. CET-2017 will be held on 25th June 2017 (Sunday) at six cities; Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Guwahati, Chennai and Bengaluru.

Duration of the test shall be 2 hours 30 minutes consisting two parts (each of 75 multiple-choice questions).

Part-I of the question paper (General Aptitude) shall be common to all the applicants.

Part-II of the question paper (General Engineering) shall consist two groups i.e. G-I for the applicants of Electrical, EEE, ECE, CSE and Information & Communication Technology disciplines and G-II for the applicants of Mechanical and Power Engineering disciplines.

NTPI PGDC Admission 2017 Reservation of Seats

Reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC/Physically Challenged applicants as per Govt. of India norms 25% seats are reserved for sponsored applicants from power utilities; applicants from non-sponsored category shall fill in unfilled Sponsored seats.

Course Fee

For non-sponsored applicants Rs.230000 + Service Tax @15% (in 2 installments).

For applicants sponsored from PSUs/Private Utilities Rs.360000/- + Service Tax @15% to be paid in lump sum at the time of admission. There is no fee concession for any category of applicants.

NTPI PGDC Admission Application Procedure 2017

Applications are to be filled online with online payment of prescribed registration fees of Rs.2000/- (including service tax).

Each applicant will be given an application ID on successful registration at site. This ID must be preserved for future reference; the registration shall be confirmed only after submission of online application and online payment of prescribed registration fees.

NTPI PGDC Admission Important Dates 2017

Online Registration: May 01st 2017 to May 31st 2017

Date of PGDC CET- 2017: June 25th 2017 (Sunday, From 11.00 to 13.30 Hrs)

Date of Declaration of result on our website: July 10th 2017

Date of Counseling at NPTI (CO), Faridabad: July 24th to August 01st 2017

Date of Reporting & Commencement of Course: August 07th 2017

Date of Spot admission for vacant seats if any by counseling at NPTI, Faridabad: August 16th 2017 to August 18th 2017
