National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE) has invited applications for admission to Doctoral Level Fellowship Program 2018 recognized by Ministry of HRD as equivalent to PhD of any Indian University.

Eligibility Criteria

Regular Applicants: Masters degree or equivalent in Engineering/Technology, Management, Economics, Commerce, Social Science, Life sciences and Pure Sciences with 60% aggregate marks (relaxable by 5% in case of SC/ST/PwD (Person with Disability) applicants) from recognized University/ Institution, CA/ ICWA and ACS.

Those appearing for their final exam in the respective disciplines can also apply; to be eligible for financial assistance, the applicant should have valid score of GATE/CAT/NET-JRF at the time of application.

Sponsored Applicants: Applicants from Industry/Academia with above eligibility and a minimum of two years experience may also apply; such applicants, if selected, have to stay in the campus for one year for credit requirements; they need to produce sponsorship certificate from the employer; also, they should fill-in the Sponsorship Form available on the NITIE website.

Selection Process

All applicants are required to appear in a written test conducted by NITIE. Applicants are selected based on written test, past academic achievements, research presentation and personal interview.

Application Fee Details

For Regular & Sponsored Applicants: Both Regular/Sponsored (applicants from Industry and academic with a minimum of 2 years of work experience) are required to pay tuition fee on annual basis, in advance, at the rate of Rs.500/- per month.

Caution money deposit of Rs.15000/- will have to be deposited by both Regular & Sponsored students.

Application Form – How to Apply?

Interested applicants can apply to NITIE through website

Application Fee of Rs.1000/- (Rs.500/- in case of SC/ST/PwD applicants) and applicable bank charges can be made by depositing the application fee with the necessary transaction charges in State Bank of India through online mode only.

To apply, the applicants must fill the form on the admissions portal. Applicants are required to upload research proposal (max. 1500 words) in PDF format for their selected research areas (maximum three research areas can be selected from the list given on Program Details Page).

Once you submit your application, you will be given a unique “Application Form Number”.

Last Date for Receipt of Application by Speed Post: April 04th 2018
