Nalsar Integrated LLM PhD Admission 2017 Eligibility Criteria
B.A., LL.B. / LL.B. / B.L. Degree or equivalent degree from a recognized University securing not less than 65% of marks in the aggregate. Applicants who already hold LL.M. degrees from other institutions can also apply.
A process exclusive to this program based on the following parameters shall select applicants:
Academic performance (CGPA or Percentage of marks obtained) during first degree in law: 15%.
Performance at the written test: 30%.
Statement of Purpose: 10%.
Writing Sample: 30% (could be a published or unpublished paper or a work-in-progress).
The written test will consist of essay type questions related to the fields of Constitutional Law, Jurisprudence, Law and Society, Law and the Humanities etc.
Applicants must also submit at least two letters of recommendations from individuals who have supervised their work in an academic or professional setting. Applications sent without the letters of recommendation will not be processed.
Registration Fee (to be paid along with Application) – Rs. 2000/- (Rs.1000/- for SC/ST).
Admission Fee (to be paid at the time of admission) – Rs. 10,000/- for Indian Nationals.
US $ 1000 for Foreign Nationals Course Fee (to be paid at the time of admission) – Rs. 20,000/- for Indian Nationals.
US$ 500 for Foreign Nationals – Rs. 12,000/- for Indian Nationals.
Fee to be paid at the time of submission of thesis – US$ 1000 for Foreign Nationals.
Nalsar integrated LLM & PhD Admission 2017 Application Procedure
Interested applicants can download the application by https://www.nalsar.ac.in/integrated-llm-phd-programme and the filled-in form should be sent along with the Registration Fee of Rs.2000/- (Rs.1000/- for SC/ST), SoP, Writing Sample and the marks Statement of the qualifying exam.
The Registration Fee can be paid by way of demand draft drawn in favour of ‘Registrar, NALSAR University of Law’ payable at Hyderabad. The Statement of Purpose (SoP) should be in 1000 words specifically mentioning why you want to join the said course. The writing sample may be a published research paper / article or a work-in-progress.
The duly filled-in form along with all the relevant documents should reach the University on or before June 30th 2017. Applications received after the last date for any reason shall not be considered for admission. The written test will be conducted at 11.00 a.m. and the interview will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 15th 2017 at NALSAR University of Law, Justice City, Shameerpet.
Incomplete applications will be rejected. The Registration Fee and other fee once paid will not be refunded.
The University reserves the right to revise the admission process, pattern of the admission test, fee structure, course curriculum, research stipend etc. from time to time.
