Mangalore University has been invited correspondence programs applications for admission to the Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Diploma and Certificate Courses for 2017 session.

Courses offered at Mangalore University through Correspondence Course Programs

Under Graduate Courses (3 years): B.A., B.Com, B.B.M.

Post Graduate Courses (2 years): M.A. (Economics), M.A. (History), M.A. (Political Science), M.A. (Sociology), M.A. (English), M.A. (Kannada), M.Com.

Certificate Courses: Tulu (6 months).

Diploma Courses: Tulu (1 year).

Mangalore University Distance Education Eligibility 2017

UG Programs: Applicant who has passed the 2 years Pre-University examination conducted by the Pre-University Education Board in the State of Karnataka or who has passed any Diploma course of three years duly recognised by Karnataka State Technical Education Board or any other exam considered as equivalent thereto by Mangalore University is eligible for admission to the above degree programs.

The applicant who has passed 1st year/1st & 2nd Semesters or II years/First to Four Semesters of any Bachelor Degree of Mangalore University is eligible for admission to II or III years of the respective Bachelor degree as the case may be, subject to the conditions required to be imposed by the University.

PG Programs: Applicant who has passed any Bachelor degree examination of Mangalore University or of any other University considered as equivalent thereto is eligible for admission to these PG Programs.

Eligibility Certificate is required for the applicant who has passed the qualifying examinations outside the state of Karnataka.

Additional information if any will be furnished as and when required.

Certificate Course in Tulu: Applicant who has passed SSLC Examination conducted by the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board or any other examinations considered as equivalent thereto shall be eligible.

Diploma Course in Tulu: Applicant who has passed the 2year Pre-University examination conducted by the Pre-university Education Board in the State of Karnataka or any other exam considered as equivalent thereto shall be eligible for applicants who have passed Certificate Course in Tulu are also eligible.

Application forms and Prospectus may be obtained in person from the office of the following on payment of Rs.200/- to the Account of Mangalore University in any one of the specified banks through the challan.

  • The Principal, F.M. K.M. Cariappa College, Madikeri.
  • The Principal, Upendra Pai Memorial College, Kunjibettu, Udupi.

Application forms and prospectus may also be obtained by post from the Director, at the above address, by sending the Bank challan on payment of Rs.240/- in the above manner or Demand Draft (DD) of any Nationalised Bank for Rs.240/, drawn in favour of “The Finance Officer, Mangalore University, Mangalagangothri” payable at Mangalagangothri /Mangalore.

Duly filled in application forms must reach the Director, Directorate of Correspondence Courses, Mangalore University, Shopping Complex, Mangalagangothri-574199, within the above dates.

The study materials concerned will be issued to the students at the time of their admissions itself.
