Eligibility Criteria for Phd Programs
For PhD Engineering Program: Applicants must have minimum 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA (in a 10-point scale) in M.Tech/M.E or equivalent degree in appropriate discipline with a valid GATE score in the year of admission into the M.Tech Program (or)
Applicants having B.Tech/BE or equivalent degree in appropriate discipline with minimum 70% marks or 7.5 CGPA (in a 10-point scale) with a valid GATE score or having secured a UGC/CSIR-NET JRF are eligible.
Applicants must have minimum 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA (in 10-point scale) is required in all other examinations, a single relaxation up to 10% marks either at X or XII level exam or equivalent is permitted.
For PhD Basic Science Program: Applicants need to have a minimum 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA (in a 10-point scale) in the master’s or equivalent degree in appropriate discipline with consistently good academic record. Provisional certificate is acceptable (or),
Applicants need to have a minimum 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA (in a 10-point scale) in the Bachelor of Science or equivalent degree in appropriate discipline with consistently good academic record. Provisional certificate is acceptable.
How to Apply?
Application Form can be filled online accessing the website www.iitbbs.ac.in. After online submission, print a hard-copy of the completed application form (the online portal will allow you to print after successful electronic submission of your application).
Attach all relevant enclosures and forward the application packet to, Officer-on-Special Duty (Academics) IIT, Bhubaneswar, Toshali Bhawan, Satyanagar, Bhubaneswar-751007.
Application Fee (Non-refundable)
The hardcopy of application form with necessary enclosures should be signed and submitted to above mentioned address along with a Demand Draft (DD) of Rs.500/- for General/OBC, Rs.250/- for SC/ST drawn in favour of “IIT Bhubaneswar” on any nationalized bank payable at Bhubaneswar by post or in person in A4 size envelop only.
Female applicants are exempted from paying application fee.
