Indian Institute of Crop Processing Technology (IICPT), Thanjavur has invited applications for admission to B.Tech./M.Tech./Ph.D Courses for 2018 sessions.

Courses Details and Eligibility

B.Tech (Food Processing Engineering)

Duration: 4 Years / 8 Semesters.

Eligibility: (i) +2 or equivalent exam with major subjects: Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry; (ii) JEE Entrance Exam Mark.

Selection Criteria: Selection in based purely on merit basis and ranking order only.

Reservation: Reservation Policy on Government norms.

Number of Seats: 40 Numbers in total for all India level.

M.Tech (Food Process Engineering) – The Program is a full time and regular basis

Duration: 2 Years/6 trimester program.

Eligibility: Applicants should have passed a four year BE/B.Tech degree with minimum 60% marks in any of the following discipline like Food Process Engineering, Agricultural Process Engineering, Post Harvest.

Technology and Food Technology & Food Science and Technology with proven knowledge in Mathematics.

Selection Criteria: Selection is based purely on merit basis and ranking order only; ranking will be done based on undergraduate overall marks and oral exam marks conducted by IICPT.

Reservation: Reservation policy based on Government norms.

Number of Seats: 10 Numbers in total for all India Level.

M.Tech (Food Science and Technology) – The program is a full time and regular basis

Duration: 2 years /6-trimester program.

Eligibility: Applicants should have passed 4 years Bachelor’s degree with minimum 60% marks in any of the following discipline like Food Technology, Home Science, Food Science and Nutrition, Food Science and Quality Control, Food Process Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Food Processing Technology and Postharvest technology.

Selection Criteria: Selection is based purely on merit basis and ranking order only; *ranking will be done based on undergraduate overall marks and oral exam marks conducted by IICPT.

Reservation: Reservation Policy based on government norms.

Number of Seats: 10 numbers in total for all India level.

PhD (Food Process Engineering) – The Program is a full time and regular basis

Duration: 3 years /9-trimester program.

Eligibility: Applicants should have passed 4-year bachelors and 2 years M.E/M.Tech degree with minimum 60% marks in any of the following discipline like Food Process Engg Agricultural Process Engineering, Harvest Technology, Agricultural Engineering, Food Science and Technology with proven knowledge in mathematics.

An applicant who has undergone course credit system with a minimum OGPA of 3.00 out of 4.00 or 7.00 out of 10 or 70% aggregate alone is eligible to apply.

Selection Criteria: Selection is based on purely merit basis and ranking order only; *ranking will be done based on postgraduate overall marks and oral examination marks conducted by IICPT.

Reservation: Reservation Policy based on government norms.

Number of Seats: 5 numbers in total for all India level.

How to Apply?

The soft copy of application form and prospectus can be downloaded from website www.iicpt.edu.in.

After submission through online, the copy of filled in registered application (PDF) Generated must be printed and submitted to “The Director, Indian Institute of Crop Processing Technology, Pudukottai Road, Thanjavur-613005” along with Original DD.

Application Fee is Rs.500/- for OC/OBC and Rs.250/- for SC/ST Applicants. Demand Draft (DD) should be drawn in favor of Director, IICPT, payable at Thanjavur.
