Delhi University School of Open Learning BA Bcom Admission 2016

Delhi University’s School of Open Learning has invited applications for admissions to BA, B.Com programs for 2016 sessions.

Subjects of Study

  • B.A. (Programme)
  • B.Com
  • B.A. (Hons) – Programme, English
  • B.A. (Hons) – Political Sciences
  • B.Com (Honours)

Eligibility Criteria

1) B.A. (Programme) & B.Com

Minimum Eligibility Criteria: Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (Class XII) of the Central Board of Secondary Education or an examination recognised as equivalent there to (Or)

Pre-University Examination (2 years after ten years schooling) of an Indian University recognised by University of Delhi (Or)

Intermediate Examination of an Indian University/ Board or an examination recognised as equivalent there to.

Specific Recruitments: Passed with 40% or above in any of the examinations.

2) B.A. (Hons) – Programme, English

Minimum Eligibility Criteria: At least 60% marks in aggregate in the Senior School Certificate Examination, Conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi (Or).

An examination recognised as equivalent to the above.

Specific Recruitments: Applicants securing 70% marks in the English Core Language in Class XII and 60% in aggregate will be eligible for direct admission (Or).

Applicants securing 60% marks in English Elective and 60% in aggregate will be eligible for direct admission.

Provided that the applicant has qualified as per the above criteria in the paper of English carrying a minimum weight of 100 marks in Class XII.

3) B.A (Hons) – Programme, Political Science

Minimum Eligibility Criteria: At least 45% in the aggregate with Political Science in any of the examinations recognised by the University of Delhi.

Specific Recruitments: Applicants securing 60% marks in the aggregate without Political Science in Class XII will be eligible for direct admission in Political Science (Honours) First Year.

Applicants securing 45% in aggregate with Political Science as one of their subject will be eligible for direct admission.

4) B.Com (Hons)

Minimum Eligibility Criteria: 55% in Aggregate, or 60% Aggregate of vocational/technical stream with commerce.

Specific Recruitments: The number of seats in Business Data Processing (Subsidiary) for B.Com (Honours) is limited and admission will be on the basis of merit.

B.com. Honours Optional Computer – Paper VI C

Practical Paper VI C: Option will be given on basis of Merit. This paper may be allowed or may not be allowed without practical.

Filling the Admission Forms.

Students are required to make an application for admission to the courses offered by the School in the prescribed Enrolment-Cum-Admission Form. Students are advised to carefully study the instructions given below prior to filling up the form to ensure that all options are correctly chosen by them.

Instructions for filling the Admission Form for the eligible applicant for SOL.

The Applicant must read the following instructions carefully before filling up the admission forms for M.A. and M.Com Courses. Application for admission should be filled in by the applicant in his/her own handwriting in English only.

The name and its spellings filled in the form for admission should be the same as given in the certificate of the last examination passed, i.e. B.A./B.Com./M.A. Exam or an exam equivalent thereto Students residing in Delhi – Bank Draft drawn on State Bank of India payable at Service Branch/any Nationalised Bank New Delhi.

Students residing outside Delhi-Bank draft drawn on any Nationalised Bank payable at New Delhi branch of the Bank.

Important Dates

Starting UG admission online: July 15th 2016

Last date of Admission without Late Fee: August 31st 2016 (Wednesday)

Last date of Admission with Late Fee of Rs.200/-: September 15th 2016 (Thursday)
