DTE Goa Lateral Entry Admission 2016 for BE BPharma Courses

GOA 2016 B.E and B.Pharm | Lateral Entry 2016 Direct 2nd Year Admissions

Government of Goa has invited applications for for admissions to direct 2nd year of B.E. (Engineering) and B.Pharma. (Pharmacy) degree programs for 2016 sessions.

Eligibility Criteria

For Engineering Program:

The applicant must be an Indian National.

The applicant must have passed from Polytechnics or colleges in the State of Goa, or as a Goa State nominee, under GOI seats or reciprocal arrangement, if passed Diploma from other States.

Applicant must have passed the Diploma in Engineering in the relevant branch with minimum of 45%* (40%* in case of SC/ST/OBC) aggregate marks at the Diploma course exam conducted by the Goa Board of Technical.

For Pharmacy Program:

Applicant must be an Indian National.

Applicant must have passed the Diploma in Pharmacy with minimum 45%* (40%* in case of SC/ST/OBC#) aggregate marks (Second Year) from Board of Technical Education, Goa, including specified practical training.

Applicant must have passed the Diploma course from Goa College of Pharmacy, Panaji, and Goa.

Applicant who has passed Diploma from other States shall be eligible only for the seats remaining vacant after admitting all the applicants from Goa, only if he/she fulfils other eligibility criteria.

For Diploma/B.Sc Degree holders to vacant 1st year Seats in Engg./Pharmacy:

Applicants who have passed Diploma in Engineering/B.Sc Degree with Mathematics as a subject at Std XII, with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of applicants belonging to SC/ST/OBC), shall be eligible for admission to First Year of Engineering Degree Courses subject to vacancies in First Year, after vacancies at Lateral Entry are exhausted.

Merit list of such applicants shall be prepared as per provision under ‘Guidelines for merit list. Diploma holders in Pharmacy’ are eligible for admissions to First Year of Pharmacy Degree Course under this provision.

Admission Procedure

Admission will be made based on Merit List of the eligible applicant. Provisional merit lists of courses will be displayed on the Notice Board at the Admission Centre as per the date mentioned in above. Applications shall ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility criteria specified, failing which they will not be granted admission.

Separate merit lists shall be prepared and displayed as under:

  • Engineering Courses for all eligible B.Sc Degree Holders
  • Engineering Courses (Branch wise) for eligible Diploma holders in Engineering
  • Pharmacy for all eligible applicants

Fees for Courses

  • Admission Fee (one time only) Rs.1000/- (for Engg /Pharmacy)
  • Tuition Fee (Per Semester) Rs.17,000/- (for Engg /Pharmacy)
  • Institutional Fee (including deposits) Rs.2000/- (for Engg /Pharmacy)
  • Development Fee (Per Semester) Rs.6000/- (for Engg /Pharmacy)

Total Fee: Rs 26,000/- (for Engg /Pharmacy)

How to Apply?

All applicants seeking admission must comply with provisions of this Prospectus. This prospectus is uploading on website www.dtegoa.gov.in of the Directorate of Technical Education.

Applicants shall download, print and submit application form on specified dates, along with self attested copies of specified documents and application fee of Rs.1000/- payable vide Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favour of “Director of Technical Education” at Panaji Goa, on any Scheduled Bank, or any other approved mode of remittance, as may be duly notified.

Payment Modes

Following fees are payable through separate bank drafts of any Nationalised or Scheduled bank to the authority mentioned against the payment.

Rs.1000/- by Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favour of “Director of Technical Education” payable at Panaji or in cash at the time of admission.

Receiving Application form at Admission Centre at Porvorim: June 27th to June 30th 2016

Display of Eligibility List at Admission Centre: July 05th 2016

Last Date for Compliance with Deficiencies in Eligibility: July 06th 2016

Display of Provisional Merit List at Admission Centre: July 07th 2016

Display of Final Merit List at Admission Centre: July 08th 2016

First Round of Admission: July 11th 2016

Second Round of Admission: July 22nd 2016
