UG PG Courses 2017 at Dravidian University through Distance Education

Dravidian University (Distance Learning) has invited applications for admission into UG/PG Courses through Common Entrance Test (DUCET – 2017). Applicants appearing for the final year UG can also apply. There is no entrance test for UG/Diploma/Certificate Courses.

Courses Offered

a) Regular PG Programmes: (01) M.A. Telugu/English, Kannada, Tamil, Tulu, Malayalam, Philosophy, Linguistics, History, Folklore and Tribal Studies (02) M.Sc. in Herbal Science (03) M.Ed.

b) Self-Financing PG Programmes: (01) M.Sc. Botany, Physics, Zoology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, (02) MLISc (03) M.Com, (04) MSW (05) MA in Sociology, Rural Development Management, Performing Arts, History and Tourism Management.

c) UG Self Financing PG Programmes: BA (History, Telugu, Political Science)/ (History, Telugu, Philosophy) /(History, Economics, Political Science) (History, Telugu, Sanskrit) / BSW (Sociology, Social Work, Psychology) B.Sc. (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science) / (Botany, Biotechnology, Chemistry) / (Zoology, Biotechnology, Chemistry) / (Botany, Zoology, Chemistry) / (Bio-Chemistry, Microbiology, Chemistry) / B.B.M / M.Com (Computer Applications).

d) Self-Financing and Other Programmes: PG Diploma in Folkloristic, Tourism, Translation, Academic Writing (Malayalam); Diploma in Yoga, and Allied Sciences, Tamil Language, Tulu, Malayalam; Certificate Programmes in Tamil/Tulu/Malayalam/Academic Writing.

MCA (Regular and Self-Financing) / MBA / B.Ed./TPT/BPEd) admissions will be done through ICET / Ed.CET/LP CET/PE CET.

Dravidian University Distance Education Eligibility Criteria

The following eligibility criteria may please be noted carefully while admitting the UG students into various courses of study:

(a) For admission into B.Sc., Computer Science combinations, Applicants should have studied Mathematics at the qualifying examination.

(b) For admission into B.Sc., Degree Course with Biology/Zoology/Biochemistry Sericulture/ Chemistry / Microbiology / Bio-Technology as one of the subjects under Part-II applicants should have passed Biology, Physics and Chemistry in the qualifying examination.

(c) For admission into B.Com., Degree course, priority should be given to the students who passed Commerce/Arts subjects in the qualifying examination, though all are eligible.

(d) For admission into B.A., Degree course, priority should be given to the students who passed Arts subjects in the qualifying examination, though all are eligible.

(e) For admission into BBM., Degree Course, priority should be given to the students who passed Commerce subject in the qualifying examination, though all are eligible.

How to Apply?

Applications and Prospectus can be obtained from the Office of the Dean, Academic Affairs, Dravidian University, Kuppam-517426 either in person or by DD for s.300/- (Rs.200/- for SC/ST /Different Abled).

Applications can be either download from the website www.dravidianuniversity.ac.in or can be had from the study centres or from the Office of the DDE, Registration fee for the application Rs.300/- should be paid in the form of Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favour of the Director, DDE payable at Kuppam, Chittoor District, A.P..
