M.Phil Research Entrance Test (RET) 2015

Dayalbagh Educational Institute Agra has been invited applications from eligible applicants for admission to M.Phil Research Entrance Test (RET) for December 2015 session.

M.Phil Program will be conducted in following disciplines only: Drawing & Painting; English; Hindi; Home Science; Music; Sanskrit; Theology; Commerce; Botany; Chemistry; Mathematics; Physics; Computer Science; Zoology; Economics; Management; Political Science; Psychology; Sociology.

Eligibility for Dayalbagh Institute Agra MPhil Research Entrance Test 2015

Applicants must possess Master’s degree in the concerned subject with at least 55% in the aggregate or equivalent CGPA 5.5/10 in the qualifying examination (first post-graduate degree).

There shall be a relaxation of 5% marks (or equivalent grade point average) for Scheduled Castes (SC)/Scheduled Tribes (ST)/ Physically Challenged (PC) applicants in the minimum marks (or CGPA) required in the qualifying exam.

M.Phil RET 2015 Exam Pattern

The DEI Agra M.Phil written test will be of 1.5 hours duration and will have the following 3 sections:

Section A – General nature, comprising Fundamentals of Faculty, Logical Reasoning, General Knowledge, Quantitative Ability, and Computer Awareness (15 questions of 1 marks each).

Section B – Questions to assess the research-related reasoning and writing skills of the applicant (15 questions of 1 mark each).

Section C – Subject related questions of specialized nature related to particular discipline of Faculty (30 questions of 1.5 marks each).

All the questions will be of multiple-choice in nature. There shall be no negative marking. No re-evaluation of the answer books of the written test will be allowed.

The passing marks for qualifying various components of M.Phil. RET (written, interview, etc.) would be as follows:

  • Written exam individually – 30% (25% for SC/ST/PC)
  • Written exam and interview – 50% (45% for SC/ST/PC)
  • Only Interview (for M.Phil RET Exempt category) – 50% (45% for SC/ST/PC)

Interested applicants can downloaded the application form www.dei.ac.in and submit the dully-filled application form to Dayalbagh Educational Institute (DEI) (Deemed University), Dayalbagh Educational Institute, Dayalbagh, Agra-282005 (Uttar Pradesh).
