B.Ed Special Education Admission 2017 Eligibility Criteria

Applicant who has successfully passed B.A./B.Sc. in school subjects/B/E./Technical course with Science & Maths as subject from a recognized University with at least 50% of marks in aggregate.

Applicants who have passed the UG Degree Exam in the 10+2+3 stream alone will be eligible; for admission of applicants with PG qualifications in other subjects the University norms will be applicable.

Only one subject will be considered for optional in B.Ed., for applicants possessing double or triple major.

Minimum percentage of marks required to apply for various categories is given here below. Applicants possessing such required marks only need apply.

General – 50%

BC/BCM – 45%

SC/ST – 43%

Disabled – Pass

B.Ed Special Education Admission 2017 Selection Procedure

Selection will be based on merit according to the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying exam; the applicants are required to add the Part III marks (theory and practical) for all the three years (except Tamil and English) and calculate the percentage for the total marks and write in the application form in the space provided.

Those applying based on their PG marks shall add their two-year marks in PG course and calculate the percentage; the applicants are advised to calculate the percentage exactly upto four decimal points (example: 55.6867).

The marks obtained in the under-graduation in major and ancillary subjects, both theory and practical for all three years (except marks obtained in Tamil and English subjects) will be taken for preparing the rank list.

Reservation

Reservation policy as laid down by the Govt. will be followed for selection of the applicants.

SC/ST/Disabled Applicants will be allowed relaxation of 5% of marks in the minimum eligibility requirement.

Fee Particulars

University Fee – General Registration Fee Rs.125/-; the development of infrastructural facilities Rs.40/-; culture and Youth Festival Rs.40/-; Sports Rs. 50/-; Library Rs.50/-; Eligibility Fee including cost of Application Rs.280/-; cost of eligibility Application Rs.30/-.

Institution Fee – Tuition Fees (per year) Rs.12000/-; the ID card Rs.150/-; Educational Kit Rs.960/-; Uniform Rs.2000/-.

B.Ed Special Education Admission 2017 Application Procedure

The Prospectus-cum-Application Form can be obtained in person on payment of Rs.350/- (Rupees Three Hundred & Fifty only) for General and OBC applicants and Rs.200/- (Rupees Two Hundred only) for SC/ST/Disabled Applicants.

Payment can be made by a bank draft drawn in favour of “NIVH Regional Centre, payable at Chennai”, on all working days during office hours from 09.00 AM to 05.30 PM.

If the prospectus-cum-application form is required by post, an extra amount of Rs.50/- shall have to be paid.
